- Other Info Found with throat slit now with RSPCA after recovering from emergency surgery and is now recovering.Anthony Pulfer, the RSPCA inspector who saved the animal, believes somebody had deliberately hurt Star. “The wound was very straight as if cut by a knife and, of course, there was the bandage. It had not been wrapped around Star in a very effective way and was not stopping the blood flow, but it had obviously been put there intentionally in some half-hearted attempt to help.”

- Pointer lover I totally agree with you - the more people who see this though, the greater chance we have to track down who the culprit may be. Someone had tried to stem the bleeding with the bandage (albeit not very effectively) - it just doesn't 'add' up. At least he is safe and will now fully recover and be rehomed. - Nothing I could say on here would be strong enough to describe what I think of the lowlife that did this to poor Star.The acts of cruelty that are brought to our attention just leave me feeling so very upset.I just can not begin to think what these poor babies go through.Wishing Star a speedy recovery and sending her lots of love and cuddles xx

- I hope the scumbag who did this to a defenceless animal is caught soon. Mathers22. You have said it all. I feel like giving the person responsible a taste of their own medicine. Please ensure that you notify your local Dog Warden and the local Police Station - in Scotland you MUST inform your local Police Station and if possible contact the Dog Warden also.
The found dog may have a Microchip or a Tattoo - please have the dog scanned and checked for a tattoo at a vet's so that owners may be contacted as soon as possible.
