ROSIE's FB PAGE was created - May 2, 2016 BUT has NO posts yet and NO Message button. So I hope owner doesn't mind that I made a poster and link it here https://www.facebook.com/bowhelpingdogs/photos/a.1651598515081829/2895792283995773/

Bumped Rosie's post on National FB Group x
We’ve made a new post on long lost/stolen dogs
Would be nice for owners to find out where she’s been the last 5 years xxx
Hoping and praying this lovely girl can be found and returned to her rightful owner soon. 5 years is an unbearable amount of time to be parted from a beloved member of your family. xxx

You may want to take a look at this dog found straying, it may be a long shot but worth checking as although faint, she has markings similar to Rosie xx https://www.strayaid.org.uk/view-details.php?id=10109

Thanks everyone for still keeping Rosie in your mind and viewing all the JR's found. I'm losing hope that she's still alive but will never stop thinking about or looking for my girl. While there is still a chance that Rosie might appear somewhere and be scanned I will never give up on her.

Message from Rosie's family:-
On the 1 May 2016 Rosie went missing from Dog Wood in Tatton Park, Knutsford. We will never stop looking for her and hope that one day she will be scanned and come home. The house is so quiet without her and the bluebells will always remind us of the day she disappeared

i am so sad to see rosie is still missing, and when 50,000 of the dogs collected last year by dog wardens were never claimed, its tragic that all the much loved dogs here on doglost.co.uk remain missing. sadly some may well have died and not been found, but i believe the vast majority have simply been kept by the finders which of course is wrong.i hope one day very soon to find rosie in the blue columns
Woodys mum
Could somebody check this found one please as the white one looks similar to Rosie but the hair is a bit longer? https://www.facebook.com/groups/doglostsouthwest/permalink/1309093339108294/
I hope someone is taking good care of Rosie until she is reunited with her owner .Kate never give up on hope x

Rosie is still missing, there is a reward for her return. Its been 7 weeks now and Rosie must be still roaming or with someone. We need to bring Rosie home soon
Kate Hammond
We are still working hard to find Rosie, handing out posters, talking to everyone we meet, visiting dogs homes and local events and making sure that everyone knows that Rosie is still missing.
I have added Rosie to Paw Helping dogs in need.
Kate Hammond
Rosie is still missing it will be 3 weeks tomorrow. There is a reward offered for Rosie's return. Please help find Rosie soon.
Kate Hammond
Thank you NickyB and everyone else who has given support and advice. Let's hope Rosie will be found soon.
have contacted local paper knutsford guardian to beg them to do a covering story with essential photo of rosie - hoping someone might have seen her with somebody.i took a call last year for a dog missing 3 months - the woman said I know where ...... is and she did know and had known for thre entire 3 months.... the reward did the trick, so I am hoping it might for little rosie
just a thought but my Romanian rescue was in Manchester dogs home for 11 days - yes 11 days - before she was scanned. but that also means that her original adopter did not go to Manchester dogs home for 11 days to look for her. I believe they don't deal with owners over the phone - I understand the owner has to go to the home themselves.
Kate Hammond
Posters are around town and shops. I have been to the fair and they have taken posters. Dog Warden, Tatton Rangers and the Police are aware. Postal workers and milkmen are aware. Please Help Find Rosie Facebook page has been set up. Rosie must turn up soon as I can't think what to do next
Kate Hammond
Many people are looking for Rosie in Tatton Park , Knutsford and the surrounding areas. No sightings and no sound from badgers setts in Dog Wood where she was last seen. Please keep a lookout for Rosie everywhere
might be good idea to look round the fair - its been on The Heath several days. also sadly ring Cheshire west and chester, and Cheshire east councils, in case either of them have found a little body - and haven't got round to phoning yet. this weekend in knutsford will be very busy, perhaps get a table and chairs with lots of flyers at the knutsford end of tatton park to hand to all the dog walkers, cyclists, horse riders etc who will go in the park. still hope she will wriggle out of a rabbit hole after not eating for days - fingers crossed. posters in windows of houses and cars old fashioned but good way of people seeing her
if she is stuck down a rabbit hole other dogs have got out after a few days after losing weight. good luck with search dog.you have my numbers if you want help. fingers crossed she will be home very soon
Update. We have searched comprehensively as we can for three days now. There have been no sightings or leads as to were Rosie is. All agencies have been informed. Owners are leaving Rosie's crate with scented blankets and food etc over night but this has remained untouched. We have tried, whistles, squeaky toys and cooking smelly food in the vicinity. We have searched every warren and Sett as best we can and have used the owners other dogs to search. We are now investigating the possibility of an endoscope type camera or a search and rescue dog. Please keep looking. Hopefully if she is not trapped she may be sighted. If anyone sees her and cannot safely catch her, please photograph and contact one of the telephones numbers with location and time seen. Do not chase her, she will now be terrified and may run. Thank you all. Keep sharing.

Poster like mad.....keep checking the area you where you park your car. From experience a lost dog often returns to this place. I have family in the area and they walk daily in Tatton Park....they will keep a look out. My thoughts are with you!

Sorry to see that ROSIE STILL MISSING AFTER 6 YEARS is missing.
  • If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
  • Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact investigations@doglost.co.uk
  • A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (99701)

  • If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
