- Sorry just realised this is a black lab cross that's missing, but maybe anyone who has lost a golden lab cross in RG17 area might see my messageLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- I'm not sure this is the dog but I was coming back through Burghclere just North of Newbury tonight and there was a quite large labrador cross loping down the road looking very nervous and worried - this was past midnight so no dog should have been out alone. That's quite a long way from Hungerford but even if not your dog it must be somebody's! The dog was quite big, looked much like a golden lab - but with a Rottie-type face, not a pure bred lab. There are a lot of commons and studs in the immediate area, good rabbit country, so a dog could live wild for a while I'd guess The dog was on the road from the Newtown turnoff in Burghclere, heading towards The Carpenters pub. I stopped the car and whistled and called but it kept on going down the road and I lost sight of it in the dark. NB there is a big travellers encampment near Newbury just off the A34Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- As soon as picture is put on site and posters are emailed to helpers they need to be put up in the area a.s.a.p. lamposts, entrances to parks, vets, dog training clubs, petshops, schools, deliver to houses etc. Ask postie, milkmen and binmen to lookout. Handout smaller posters to people, especially dog walkers. Put A4 poster in car windows. rescue centres need checking regularly and preferably visited in person, by owner or someone who knows Cobbles. Jan xxx Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
