- Sorry Reynard only just seen your msg. Kiki was seen at brechfa again 2nd week of June in a lane close to where she last seen it was about 10.30 at night and she ran towards the woods. We have searched all through but no luck. The farmer has let us put a motion sensor camera in his yard so we are checking that every few days, the man who saw her said she looked ok,

- KIKI last seen in the brechfa, Ponde area. It's a vast area with lots of forest, it's also close to where she spotted around Christmas time,- llyswen and boughrood.lots of farms and bit more rural, that is where we have set a trap, in the field of a very kind farmer who checks every day for us,

- Got kikis new picture when I go on to dogs following, wont let me share at the moment.kiki still looks very much spaniel when she has a longer coat, I personally think she should be registered as a spaniel cross, she looks like a springer with a hint of collie. I am a dog groomer of 25 years and have groomed lots of collie x spaniels over the years most come in looking like a collie and go out looking like a spaniel after been clipped, but think kiki even with her longer coat still looks like a springer. Wishing for good news soon.

- Can you change the photo on this page to the Standing one in YOUR poster please Mandy x?
- 2014-12-28 13:04 Kiki's mum
- The posters we using is full body as you will see the colour and shape much better. No sightings since. Check KIKI holder or Mandy holder on face book. We are using pic of her stood on stone seat. Overlooking llanbedr village.
- 2014-12-26 13:03 tab0396
- Any more possible sightings of kiki.?
- 2014-12-20 14:54 Reynard
- Oh dear the Spaniel sighted by your parents does sound to be similar to Kiki , unless you knew her well you would think Kiki was more Spaniel
Not sure what posters you are using but this photo of her does look more Spaniel like.

- Thankyou Reynard. I will have a look on the site. She has not been seen again now since Friday.which was bin collection day so will stay around the area this week. My parents been driving round too when I can't get there, they saw a black and white spaniel roaming around on its own the other end of the street, so hope the person who reported KIKI last Friday didn't mistake her for this one.

- I would put the trap in she has been seen in the area more than once which is usualy when you set a trap ,as long as it can be monitered for cats and wildlife (have you had the leaflet on this if not look on Doglost - Swindon and North Wilts face book page in notes ) & you can ask for advice on that page if you like, ok Josie ?

- Yes postcode is LD30YJ she was seen in llyswen close to there about 2 weeks ago by various people who said she was barking at them then ran away that sounds like her. Not a nasty bark just nervous. Then again last Sunday and Friday just gone we have put a cage with bed and toys also my clothing in a field close by with a cover so it doesn't get wet also driven and walked the area dragging cloth soaked in beef stock. Hoping to get her out of hiding.we have thought of trap but they say few more sightings would be better to locate her.. Lots of barns and outbuildings in area. Is it a new area what is the post code , do alerts need to go out?
Shame about fireworks but I expect she is getting use to all the noises as she is now an expert survivor.
Could you put a trap there Doglost will advice to a local one I expect but dogwardens , rescues will sometimes help

Went back and drove around with cloth soaked in beef stock and dogfood dragging on floor from boot. Than parked close to where she seen but at 10pm bloody fireworks sounded like building being blown up, so no hope as she afraid of loud noises. Will try again tomorrow.

- Thankyou. She was running on road outside llyswen petrol station on 19th nov but last seen Sunday 7th dec at boughrood by church on corner of field think she was just inside watching a couple walking their dogs. There is a poster on gate of field I have put her crate in there. Would be grateful if you tell people not to touch it as I will not know if KIKI been inside we have placed her ball and teddy in certain places I check it 3 times a day it's only been there since Tuesday. Great to know someone living there with my details we need to get to her quickly because she runs further away if people try to catch her..... Thankyou xLast edited: 2014-12-11 08:23:33 by Kiki's mum

- Been back to boughrood again today. Hung my smelly t.shirt and Kikis ball on the gate she last seen. With her poster. Managed to speak to the lovely farmer who owns th field. He is happy for us to put a crate in corner of it with Kikis bed and favourite teddy. We will cover it with a mat to keep out the elements with a bowl of water next to it. I have 3 days off so can stay close.hope we will find her there waiting for us x

- Pleased to see kiki has been sighted again , a lost dog close to where I live was caught by setting up food stations and then using a fox trap. (Hank border collie listed on dog lost oct ). The local agricultural store loaned a fox trap, I am no expert but the team who caught hank may be able to advise you, good luck , hope kiki is home soon

- Kiki spotted again today at boughrood near llyswen. At about 3pm by walkers in area we drove straight there, and stayed till dark calling and leaving a scent.will go back tomorrow.. Does anyone know of some sort of trap we can put down now she seems to be staying in same area. I think we need to get in some professionals as only chance of catching her. Thankyou x

- I'll post Kiki's photo on my Doglost Wales FB Groups again. Maybe it will jog peoples memories. Hope she's found soon x

- Thankyou for all the advice. Luckily my ex partner but still good freind works for our local highway department out on roads and they are all looking for her. I have given posters to postmen and bt vans as they are everywhere. Shame police not so helpful. Kiki reported missing on the Friday evening and they were called out to dog matching her description on main road following morning. I was about half mile away putting up posters.they didn't find her but never rang to tell me it was only after a freind who works there told me on the following Monday. They really weren't interested when I took a poster to them.. I have taken photos to vets and the man at brecon hunt kennels who takes in animals tha been found..
- 2014-12-04 10:41 Reynard
- Yes good Vets, Rescues, Pounds check for chips BUT we know most Highways 03001235000 and local Council workmen and some at Network rail 08457114141 don't so you need to call them (ask at the local Council and they will tell you who they use ) have you tried Police 101 and see if they have had a call about a stray dog ? ( do describe her well I see her as a Springer x others a Collie maybe) Also if they don't have a HALO scanner as not all chip's get picked up otherwise. If she has been picked up and went to the pound she will be rehomed, usually after 7 days she is beautiful so definitely would be rehomed and will need to be Vet check. Your best bet is to continue to Poster & send out to Vets etc and to join all the appropriate facebook sites and moniter the adds in newspapers and online such as Peloved and take out adds in Newspapers, Church/Village Magazines , local free newspapers contact Scouts/Girl Guides etc Groups ,Schools (kids are great for information) & hopefully she will be seen by someone and they will make the connection from the poster , and enlist your friends and family to be responsible for each item /area , its a lot to do and emotionaly draining so you need support , I would recommend ONLY this company 'Stolen and Stray Pet Recovery Organisation Ltd' if you want further support (I dont have any connection with them and not on their payrole BTW LOL)
Keep her page updated so we can continue to share and help where we can, and call /email doglost as they can help you with information and advice as they have the experience , Good luck keep up the good works xxx

- Thankyou Reynard. Will look again. Do you think that microchip could not be very effective. I am hoping this will be my last chance. She will be hiding and running from people. So hoping she will get tired and hungry eventually going to someone.. Who will take her to vet. I am running out of ideas and steam if I'm honest. Been out everyday and many nights for last ten weeks and six days . Will carry on for how ever long it takes.
- 2014-12-03 20:25 Reynard
- Well done Kiki,s mum Postering is really effective thing to do, also keep checking with rescues , pounds , dog wardens and vets even though she is chipped as not all scan sadly , also they get descriptions of dogs wrong,,not their fault as its subjective so send in a poster as well as calling them
Countrymans weekly has ,usualy a strip of dogs one side on a page if you caint find it , it appears fortnightly so you will need this weeks adition xLast edited: 2014-12-03 20:27:45 by Reynard - 2014-12-03 19:54 Kiki's mum

- We had a phone call on Friday from person in lyswen other side of Talgarth. Went there with posters people saw dog on road tried to catch it but it ran away. They were quite sure it looked like her. We have been there in relays day and night but no sightings.always thought she would be easy to spot as unusual colour and shape. Obviously not. Sorry I have all you people running from one end of wales to another.. I do appreciate all the help. Thankyou x
- 2014-11-23 16:02 Kiki's mum
- She ran after something at llangorse lake through bushes. First time she ever not come back when called.she is very nervous and runs when approached or called. She maybe tempted with a ball as she used to love her ball on a rope even more than treats. Thankyou for putting more posters. We have noticed them around. We don't seem to have a dog warden in area. Only the man at the brecon hunt kennels. He has got a poster with my number and carries a scanner
