Owner is making progress and should be out of hospital this week. Son will be checking answerphone each day and daughter arrives tomorrow, so any calls will be taken care of. Still checking around for Lottie.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thanks Jayne. I'll make sure the HP helpers know. Trouble is, there are an awful ot of posters around - many emailed individually - which have the owner's number on.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

That's terrible :-( There are some very sick people in this world :-( I'm continuing to keep Lottie and her owner in my thoughts and prayers. I dearly hope she will be found. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Owner had a call to say this person had her dog but it was someone playing a trick. Unfortunately that is the down side of posters.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thanks Whippet & Toledo. There can't be anyone in Buckland and Aston Clinton that doesn't know about Lottie now.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

No Nik we did not do The Crows Nest should have thought of that. The Duck and Oak we looked in Buckland but did not see, now of course when you mention The Bell I know where you mean. We did poster close to the Duck though, we did the sports field just past on the opposite side as I have seen lots of dog walkers go around there. We also postered and spoke to the vets in Aston Clinton. This afternoon we have postered further afield in the villages around. Also updated the hotspots.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thanks Whippet. The Duck is what used to be the Bell. I can't remember where the Oak is - possibly in Buckland itself. Did you do the Crows Nest ? The other important place was a distribution co (couriers ?) on Buckland Wharf who don't appear to have an email address. I can easily mail these places if you let me know.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Last time we were around Buckland we postered it well. We noticed that what used to be the Rothschild pub is no longer. We actually have more posters printed off which we intend to put up in the surrounding areas today so will look for the other 2 pubs.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I have emailed every company and organisation I can find for Buckland. If Whippet & Toledo find themselves up there, I couldn't find email addresses for the Duck, the Oak or the Rothchilds Arms (only one drink in each please....) or the doctor's surgery on the mini-roundabout. (I know there's a joke there, but too tired to think of it.)Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I know the owner is really desparate, a lady in her 70s who lives for her Dachshunds. apparently the bolts inside her garden gate were open , so they must have jumped in taken the dog, but walked out. can anyone visit the sites with a DW? When my dogs were stolen, my Dachsies were indoors guarded by the Dobermann, so I was lucky! Libbys MumLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

As Whippet says, this is right on the county boundary, so owner should contact the Dacorum DW as well. The Bucks Herald is on 01296 331326.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thanks Shelly. This is on the Bucks/Herts border so all necessary people have been informed. If anyone from out of the area reads this please keep your eyes open as this dog may have been sold on.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Haridressers in Weston Turville has kindly put poster up, I left a few more there for the girls to take home. Spied Buckland on my travels - have driven past it many times and not realised. Looks like there is only one road in & out..any suspicious vehicles noted recently?Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
