Lisa has checked and the horse in the ad is definitely not Archie. Keep looking everyone! X

Thanks, have emailed link to owner to check just incase.

magz212013. This horse looks very like Archie. We have to bear in mind that his white flash could easily be covered up too. Also he has only been on there for 4 days. Worth investigating! Last edited: 2013-06-06 17:17:51 by Ellie

You could contact The Wolrld Horse Welfare Society, as tghey may perhaps have an idea of where a stolen horse is likely to be taken in a said area: just a thought. Their e.mail is info@worldhorsewelfare.org. All xd. for the safe return of Archie.

Are there any sales coming up anywhere ? - apart from Appleby of course ... Personally I would go up to Appleby - or some family member who will recognise this horse and haunt the place ... after checking out the local travellers sites. Best of luck. x
Ellie
Time is of the essence here so please act quickly!

Also see if you can get this story on the local TV news and also in the papers. Try Dail Mail/Daily Telegraph they may run a story on your horse and the fact that it has been stolen.

Ther is a site for stolen horses:http://www.stolenhorseregister.com/index.php3?Option_ID=Stolen&Menu_Level=1&Option_Number=1

I do not know anything about it but it might help to register him on the site.

Is Archie freeze marked and, if so, where? How old is he and does he have any distinguishing marks or white patches apart from on his face? Are any better clearer photos available as the ones above do not help a lot?

What about asking Claire Balding if she would Twitter about Archie? She has loads of followers. Would Channel 4 racing do a quick piece about him? The fact Appleby is coming up makes time so important here. Are any of the on line horse sites - Horsemart, Horse and Hound, willing to run an article or even a link to a page? I do hope you get some good news soon.

Awful....every horse owners nightmare. Have shared on my facebook page and asked all my horsey chums to do the same. I am the other side of the country but am sending love to the owners.xxx

I too thought of the Appleby Fair. Do hope the lovely Archie is soon found, safe and well. He is gorgeous xxx
Ellie
Yes Claire I think Appleby is a very good idea. The timing of Archies disappearance is a bit of a coincidence. Just a few days before such a big horse fair.
DogLostMillypod (Chris) - Administrative Volunteer
I was thinking the same as Claire, just looking on the website for Appleby.
Good luck hope you find Archie soon.

I do hope that your lovely horse is found soon. May I respectfully suggest that Appleby Fair is on from 6 Jun-10 Jun and if all else fails maybe a look up there as well.Last edited: 2013-06-02 20:29:46 by ClaireC

Have shared across fb & Twitter...everything is crossed for Archie's safe return x
Ellie
I lived very close to Crays Hill for 15 years. I have friends and family still in this area and believe me one friend in particular has spent an absolute fortune to protect their property, horses and dogs from these travellers. They have to be vigilant all of the time.So I am not joking when I say CHECK THEM OUT!

Shared on FB with horsey network/friends.. finger's crossed for Archie's safe return!!

Ellie. That crossed my mind too, but who knows?
Ellie
Sorry to be blunt but I think the first place that I would look is the local travellers site which is very close to you.
