Oh sorry he wasnt Ben.....wish I was closer but will still keep a lookout. Someone may have taken him in... but with all the work you are doing lots of people will know about him. Good luck x
Fiona
Oh so sorry its not him. Out of date chip can be people selling on dogs, or moving home and not updating the chip details. But date of birth and dog name would normally still be held by chip company.
jhunter
just had a look and they are similar but its not him,on the advert it says he has an out of date chip how does that work i would have thought they would last for the dogs life? Still been no sightings or info from anywhere regarding ben he has simply vanished into thin air.thanks for everybodys help

Anyone checked the strayaid dog out yet...I keep looking and like skippy I'm not sure if its him but really worth his owners taking a look to rule out if they haven't looked already. This lad will be going up for adoption soon.Last edited: 2012-05-23 00:03:59 by BBKM

Missing add placed on gumtree.still no news or sightings from anybody

have a missing advert in local gazzette, rang network rail and they have not found any dogs on the local section of track. The area is very rural with literally thousands, upon thousands of acres surrounding the village. The rape fields are currently standing at 4-5 feet in height making spotting anything impossible.its possible he may have got trapped in an outbuilding,i have checked all the local barns etc to no avail,he is posted on facebook and farming sub sections, alot of people in the area know he is missing however nobody has actually had a sighting of him anywhere
Maggie
Ben's missing details on AW - i've sent a photo of Ben to add to his details - I really hope Ben is found Very soon x

I don't know the area at all, but wondered if it's built up or rural? He could perhaps be holed up somewhere and just coming out when it's quiet -normally dawn and dusk. Have you tried leaving an item of clothing with your scent on where you last saw him?
jhunter
Theres still no news or sightings

i've searched for the last 4 days, rang all profesional bodies i.e dog wardens, dog trust etc and he hasn't been handed in,have put posters up in the local villages and towns, asked everybody i see in the locality and put adverts in the local papers.there has been no sightings,he seems to have disapeared without trace.

Living not too far away, I have telephoned to ask if the owners need any help in looking for Ben. I have suggested a BBQ to maybe entice him to the smells.

Thanks Ashmark and Jayne.
Ben went missing whilst out on a walk on Monday evening. There have been no reported sightings of him yet.
Owner has reported him as missing to all the relevant authorities and has informed the microchip company.
They have postered the area he went missing and have telephoned local vets.
Fingers crosssed for some news of this much loved pet
Ben is MICROCHIPPED and if found he must be reported to the dog warden as is required by LAW

Sorry to see that BEN is missing.
  • If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
  • Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
  • A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (39360)
  • Obtain a missing poster by clicking on View poster above. Posters are very important so start postering now!
  • You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
  • Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
  • If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
  • If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
  • Keep us updated by keeping your dog's page up to date and check for posts from helpers who may have suggestions and possible matches or sightings
  • DogLost is free and anyone asking for money to find or return your dog is not volunteering for us. If you are concerned about an approach you have received, please email admin@doglost.co.uk
