Hi, I've just read your heartbreaking story.I feel so sorry for you for what you have been through.I unfortunately have also experienced the police's low priority approach to dog theft and it stinks. We need to get some kind of petition together cause where I live the police are only interested in car crime and easily solvable crimes to artificially boost their crime figures.I know a friend who has 2 French Bulldogs, but they are Black, and I will tell him your sad story, and maybe he can keep an eye out too, cause people who have the same breed are usually more perceptive. I really hope that you get Jenna back.Don't give up I'm sure that you will get her back. Bobby D 25/08/05Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

hiya this is wombles owner. ive since moved and changed internet server which is why ive signed up with a different name as i cant get access to my old email for my login details.thanks to the people posting about the gumtree advert, although i cannot bring up any details of the ad. i cannot believe i have not seen this sooner. the lad who took her also had an american bulldog. he was actually questioned by the police on about her when he was arrested for another matter, but they said quite flippantly he wasnt being charged, despite the fact that the other 3 dogs he stole at the time(wombles sister,a bassett hound and my mums puppy)were recovered from his girlfriend, and witnesses had seen a car matching his at the front of my house with dogs being bundled into the back.that day over 4 grands worth of dogs were stolen,ok so the police have no interest in the emotional cost but one would think the value of them would be enough for the police to take at least a passing interest. i had the lads address but was rudely told "we're not driving to salford to look for dogs". something needs to be done to make the police take more notice.thanks to everyone who has kept their eyes open although i am doubtful il ever get her back.this has been such a horrible time, my little girl (and myself) was heartbroken, the sister dog pined and pined for her and has since died(double heartache for my daughter ). il continue to scour the ads in the hope someone else is reunited with their loved ones.i know its a long shot but my contact details are 01942519486 07845519687 honcujo2006@yahoo.com thanks againLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Was there any positive outcome from Mumbeilini's posting about the puppy for sale on the gumtree website? The advert is still there on the site. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I've just been looking on the website www.gumtree.com under the pets section and there's someone in Manchester selling a French bulldog puppy which they say is 'homeless' and then underneath that ad. there's another posted by the same person saying they have an American bulldog puppy which is also 'homeless' and which, again, the person is selling. I don't know if it's anything but maybe it's worth getting in touch and having a look. The link to the first ad is posted below. http://www.gumtree.com/london/53/4510653.html I hope it works okay if not check out the www.gumtree.com under the 'pets' section. I often think that some of these ads involving pets for sale look suspicious. Sorry to the owner if it's a false lead, but I just thought it worth checking out as you never know. Hope you find your baby soon.xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
