Hiya Kez - made me laugh (sorry!!) Only one of your dogs could end up 30' up a tree ......... glad you got Belle back safely.

You may be interested to know that cats and dogs share the same heritage (I'm going back millions of years here) and are descended from tree-dwelling animals. Dogs moved to the plains, cats stayed in the trees. But for some dogs there is still a genetic throwback. I've known of a few dogs who climbed trees (successfully!). Maybe Belle's deep deep instincts kicked in for some reason? So glad it had a happy ending :)

OMG!

That's a first for us....a dog stuck 30 foot up a tree! Spoke to owner last night who said the hardest thing was convincing the fire brigade as they had never been called out for a dog up a tree before and thought it was a hoax call!

Oh wow - what an amazing story - normally we recommend to check the low shrubbery and brambles not 30 foot up in a tree, so happy that you have her back safe & well done to the firemen !

Kez, thank you so much for letting us know the brilliant news. So pleased lovely Belle is o.k. well done to the fire brigade, bet that was a bit of a shock they are normally used to cats getting stuck up trees. Welcome home Belle lots of hugs and kisses from everyone on DL and into the blue you go. Jan x

Jayne thank you so much for your help, just got in from having Belle rescued by the fire brigade she was 30ft up a tree 6foot from where I lost her!! Sodding squirrels luring her to do something so naughty!! It took me over 5 hours to find her (she eventually was brave enough to "speak" on command!!) and then getting her down, so sorry for the delay in getting back in touch.
She has a slight limp as one would expect after sitting with a branch wedged between her legs for 5 hours! Otherwise its like she's never been away. Thanks again your support is invaluable x
