My mum spotted a young Springer bitch straying on Stradbrooke Road, Sheffield on Thursday, she couldn't give a great description but said it was mainly white and leggy. She had two not dog friendly dogs and two grandkids with her so couldn't do anything but a lady in one of the houses opposite City School took it in. The lady who took it in said it had been hanging round for a couple of days, it may be worth checking with the dog warden if she reported it - she had a Springer dog of her own so may just hang onto it. It may be worth ringing dog warden to see if this bitch was reported as being found, if not and the lady has just kept hold of it, it could perhaps be Sally. I don't know the address of the lady that took it in only that it was one of the houses opposite City School but I'm sure I could find out if needed.Last edited: 2010-08-09 21:06:06 by Angus

Hi, I’m really sorry to hear Sally has been stolen. Someone will try to make personal contact with you as soon as possible, to offer advice and help. Firstly contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres. Give them all a detailed description of your dog with any distinguishing marks/scars. You can find vets in your own area by clicking on the green logo which says “Find Any UK VET”, on the right hand side of the page under the “latest missing dogs” photo - top right. Please email admin@doglost.co.uk with a photo of your dog quoting the dog’s Doglost ID number, or upload a photo yourself on “update details” above. You can also add comments and update the dog’s status, e.g.sightings, re-united etc. by clicking on “add a comment” at the bottom of the page. If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and at the same time, check that all details held, are up to date. You can obtain a “MISSING” poster from "view poster" above. You can only print posters when you are signed in. Start postering now! I CANNOT EMPHASISE HOW VERY IMPORTANT THIS IS. If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be re-homed legally, after 7 days if it has no identification (microchip or ID disk attached), so please try to visit rescue centres, to look for your dog. Do not rely on checking by phone alone, as other people may not recognise your dog by your description. will send you more extensive advice by email.
