Just had the call from owners Molly has been found safe - she was trapped in some undergrowth but was spotted by some walkers who called owners - she had travelled quite a long way from where she was spooked. Owners very releived and wish to thank everyone for their supportLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi everyone. From the information given from Jackie, it's sounds like Molly was spooked which sent her into a flight response. I came across this website which gives really useful information on the behaviour and natural instincts to how it would respond given its personality. The owner and Jackie would know this dog and its characterictics. Give this website a look it maybe of some help in the search for Molly. http://www.missingpetpartnership.org/recovery-lostdog.phpLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

FM you mentioned you knocked on a few doors in the vicinity. How about stepping up the posters/flyers campaign and dropping them at each house that back onto the Heath with the obvious words "we need your help, check your garden, shed, garage please"?, as well as on the road around the area and leading towards Hurst Meadow/park? Molly might not know how to get to your house but might remember the smell of the park, the river Thames??just some ideas....Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I got back just after 8pm after having done countless laps of the Heath from 6.45am with absolutely no sightings of dearest Molly. As before no one else who was walking in the park during the course of the day or this evening had spotted her either. I have also left posters at Molesey Hospital and The Health Care Centre and with the help of Kate and her husband we knocked at most of the houses in the vicinity to see if any one had seen or heard anything all to no avail. Please note that I am prepared to pay a reward for Molly's safe return. In the meantime I would appreciate it if anyone religious would kindly include Molly in their prayers. I will be back up at the Heath again tomorrow from early morning if anyone has any updates. Thank you.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Quite a few people have been searching the Heath and surroundings throughout the day.Jackie printed a load of posters and posted them at the following locations: main Post Office East Molesey, Molesey Park, Molesey Heath entrance via Approach Rd and by the lake, 2 recreation grounds on Walton Rd(Grovelands...), Imber Court Police Centre, Garsons Farm, and registered at Walton Rd vets, Park Rd vets, Hinchley Woods vets, Surrey pet supplies, 3 entrances to Hurst Meadows. Florence posted some in Bushy Park, Molesey high street shops, pet shop, Molesey police station.I dropped a poster at the shop in the Camping and Caravan site on Fieldcommon and walked all the way beyond the site and following the river Mole to a weir/train line. Noone has seen Molly since yesterday 10am.A lot of people walk on the Heath at that time so someone must have seen her. Unless she is in hiding on the Heath or in someone's back garden...may be someone away for the week-end? Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I am Molly's owner. Just to flag some of the information on the site is incorrect. Molly is tagged as well as microchipped with my contact details. She was lost at Molesey Heath which is in West Molesey, Surrey. I also wanted to thank MJ, Jackie and all the other dog walkers/owners for all their assistance yesterday. It was much appreciated at such a stressful time. I am just about to head back to Molesey Heath to see if we can make any progress in tracking down Molly now. If any one has any sightings, please post on this site as I will be checking in regularly during the course of the day. Thank you.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

The area were Molly was lost is also called Molesey Heath via Approach Road. We were looking for her with owner and dog walker until 9pm this evening. Had 2 sightings of what might have been a fox but we were not 100% sure.More search tomorrow and postering. MJLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
