Thanks Val - spoke to the Epping dog warden on Friday - not a setter, she has seen irish red & whites, the reference to 'English' was because she thought it might have been an English springer spaniel, probably a working dog. Thanks for the tip though! If you phoned the mobile number on this site I don't who it is - maybe the helper who first put Clem on here. My number is 01494 521063.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Have you checked out the dog on the found pages of this site - down as possible welsh springer or Irish Red and White Setter - doesn't say he's chipped but they can be missed.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Sheila, I have printed off 3 posters, I walk a lot of different places between Bradenham and Wendover, so will put one near Bledlow, one at Cadsden and one at Coombe Hill, you never know, someone may have seen or heard of him. I know its a long shot, but fingers x`d anyway!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thanks for the msg Linda. I'll think about new posters - We did put some out with a picture that shows his size better but maybe I should use the one currently on here, it seems to show his personality more - always happy and bubbly. SheilaLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I was talking to a dog-owner from Bledlow-Ridge yesterday; he`d seen the posters and also thought it was of a spaniel..do you think it might be worth putting up new posters, it may trigger someones memory if they saw a setter and didn`t connect it with Clem. Still hoping you get good news, Linda T., helperLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Denise (English setter, Henry) kindly forwarded the pics of the dog in Leeds - he definitely looks like a red & white setter, but he is younger than Clem and lighter in colour. I'll see if the breed rescue know about him.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I phoned yesterday and it didn't seem to be Clem - but I couldn't get it out of my mind so I've asked if they can email a picture to me. They seem to get a lot of gundogs.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Have changed picture of Clem....looks more like an English Setter now!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

There is a red setter handed in on our found page sheila-although not chipped it is worth e mailing the poster to them as we have had cases of the chip not being detected. 01484 426407. We have recovered 3 stolen dogs from outside this area in Marina kennels recently so worth checking. Ask for Tracey or Janet-they couldn't be more helpful!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Its very heartening to know people are still looking for Clem. People have asked if he is a setter/spaniel cross as at first sight he looks like an overgrown welsh springer. Still hoping for good news.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Had a phone call from a lady today who lives near the owners of Clem. She says that some folk may have been looking for a Spaniel because the picture of Clem is so like a spaniel. Please if you are in the area...Clem is a Red and White Setter. Thank you to the lady who rang...it's great to see your all still looking out for the dogs that have been gone for a while!!! Just heard of a doggy today that got back...she was missing for 13 months......So never give up hope you guys!!! (not on our books)Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
