As you have gathered, cats that escape their carriers like this will usually find refuge in someone`s garden. It seems very likely that Monty is being fed by others, and has found a shed, or some outbuilding to hide in. Poster around the area where he has been sighted, and post flyers through doors too. Take walks around the area where Monty was seen, taking with you his UNWASHED blanket, as it will have his scent on; rattle his favourite treats too..Also cats can smell from quite a distance away. And when searching use the same deodorant say that you use on a day to day basis as he will recognize the scent, and your the one he trusts. The best time to look for a cat as you know is night/early morning when it`s quiet. And take with you a strong torch as it will reflect a cats eyes. And of course take with you his cat carrier. If all else fails, you could borrow a cat trap from Cat Protection: maybe for small donation, if you spot him again in the same area. They will show you how to use it. Paws, and fingers xd.Last edited: 2021-03-28 13:58:49
