To the person who made that call I hope you are totally ashamed of your actions. I am so glad that Greta is safely back home, great work by people who spotted her and reported the sightings xx

Great news so good to see Greta is home. Lovely pictures.
Terrible person to make such a nasty call. I despair of people. Thank goodness for dogs so much nicer than many people.

What a roller-coaster this poor family have been on but now they have had the call they wanted.
Greta has been found alive and well in Calne, taken to vet, microchip scanned confirming it is her. Over to the blue as soon as they have her in their arms. Last edited: 2020-06-30 14:25:46

PLEASE CONTINUE SEARCHING!!!!!
Possible sightings by 3 different people last night in fields not far from previous sightings.

It appears that the call received last night was a very cruel hoax. I have heard that another owner in similar circumstances has also received similar hoax calls.

My thoughts are with her owner, not knowing is very hard xx

Thank you all for your kind thoughts. At the moment we are awaiting confirmation on the validity of the report Greta's owners received. Although very convincing the phone call could have been a hoax as her body is yet to be recovered, this has been arranged for mid day today.
Further information on a local Facebook group report sightings of Greta on farm land last night which were followed up by her owner.
We will up date in due course but for now we are hoping that Greta is still out there and will soon be found. Last edited: 2020-06-30 14:25:56

It is with great sadness I have moved Greta's page to the Bridge.
Her heart broken owners received a call from a gentleman to inform them that she was hit by a car last night and did not survive.
They are very grateful for all the help and support they have received over the weekend.

Yes Louise sorted now thanks x

Has Greta been listed again under Dog Id 157992 ?

"As there was a sighting in Ratford it would be likley that Gerta crossed the main lyneham road and gone in a straight line. There are a network of streams/brooks all round there" which dogs tend to follow (as well as roads) especially if they dont know an area .Last edited: 2020-06-29 20:37:12 by Reynard
