Brilliant News, just goes to show you have to get out there and make your dog 'too hot to handle' and someone will spot her and give you that all important phone call. So pleased that another oldie is home safe and sound. S xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

hello! thank you all so much for your help! milly has been found safe and well this evening, it is believed drug addicts had found her and taken her to breed. after many hours walking the streets handing out posters and putting them up 2 young men have called and said they knew where milly was, after 4-5 phone calls off them in the day we were finally reunited with our little old lady! she put on weight aswell! so yet again thank you all for your help and cooperation, especially phoenix! thanx all our love abbie, lyndon and milly moo xxxxxxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Many thanks to Phoenix for your help and advice offered to the owners !I  have spoken to Milly's owners and so far there has been no news of Milly. Vets and dog wardens have been informed and they are postering.I have stressed the 7 day rule and they will  visit Marina kennels in person this weekend. Hoping for some news on this elder girl very soon xx PamLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I will also get a poster up at Pets at Home in Bradford. In the market in Shipley there is a noticeboard where you could put a poster up, and a pet stall that might display one. Charity shops sometimes put them up, the one by the market has done before now (think it's called Joy and it's opposite Yorkshire Bank at the back of market). Takeaways will often put them up.

Marina Kennels - 01484 426407
Abbey House Vets - 01274 876686 (They deal with injured strays)
Could also try the police. They don't deal with strays anymore, but someone may have rung them about her. Also the RSPCA - 01274 723063.
I will take posters to the following vets:
Petvax, Avenue Vets (Shipley), Idle Vets, Eccleshill Vets4pets, and the PDSA and RSPCA  in Bradford who offer reduced fees for people on certain benefits.
Could also try a lost ad in the T&A, Shipley Target, Ad Trader

Abbie - so sorry that Milly has been lost from the garden. She is quite elderly to go wandering. I wouldn't describe her as a mongrel though. I would say a Terrier Cross of some sort. Not familiar with terriers much, but what do others think she has in her? Be sure to inform your dog wardens immediately, by contacting your local council, and if not found soon, make sure you check your local pounds personally every couple of days as dogs can be re-homed after only seven days if not claimed. Also notify all vets in the area and police. Please describe her as Terrier Cross and give her colouring. If you say she is mongrel I dont think the conection will be made. Ask all your neighbours to check their gardens, especially any with swimming pools, or ponds.  Make sure she hasn't fallen into anything or been shut somewhere. Also, that she is not got her fur caught up on any brambles, barbed wire or undergrowth. this has happened several times before. Her poster can be printed by clicking on dogposter1 above Millys details. get as many up as you can asap, all around area of loss and a bit further away, and hand them out to dogwalkers. She may well have been picked up by someone who is waiting for posters to go up with telephone number on. Good Luck, and stay safe Milly xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
