Any advice on how finder might handle this situ as reported in comment on a FB thread -
"UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE... This puppy was rescued from the road by a passing family, as everyone else just drove by. The puppy was taken to the nearest vets as it wad clearly injured. The family who rescued the puppy have reported this to the dog warden and Police as required. They have stated that if the owner is not found they would like to give it a good home as their own dog crossed the rainbow bridge recently. The vets have a member of staff who wants the dog and for this reason they are being very difficult and refusing to engage. This is not the sort of behaviour one would expect from a veterinary practice. As finders of the puppy they are legally entitled to have the puppy returned to them if the legal owner is not found.
The puppy would be going to a very good home and have a great life."

Thank you for taking the time to list this found dog and ensuring the safety of the dog.
Please ensure that you notify your local Dog Warden and the local Police Station - in Scotland you MUST inform your local Police Station and if possible contact the Dog Warden also.
The found dog may have a Microchip or a Tattoo - please have the dog scanned and checked for a tattoo at a vet's so that owners may be contacted as soon as possible.
Please check on our Missing pages in case the Found dog has been registered as missing with us.
If possible please add a photo as this greatly assists our work in matching Found dogs with Missing dogs.
