Hello Everyone. Excellent news. We managed to trap Tess in the dog trap, as of 5.45pm this evening Tess is now at home and seems very happy. We would like to thank everyone for their best wishes & offers of help. We can't express how happy we are. Finally after nearly 3 weeks we can sleep soundly. Once again we would like to express our gratitude to everyone concerned. Best wishes Arwyn & Cherylxxx Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

We have managed to find out where Tess is although we canot catch her yet. We have left food on 3 seperate occasions & when we have returned her food bowl was empty. We know that it is her because her pings are outside an unused stable. We have also found her dog hairs on a barbed wire fence which sarounds the field in which the stable is. The workmen at the quarry have said that she spends most of her time on top of the quarry looking down on them. We have today obtained the loan of a dog trap cage and left a bowl of food there for her, we will return after dark when hopefully we will find her in the cage as we have been told that she likes dog cages and feels safe in them.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I have been in contact with the GSD rescue in Wales and have had a message from them I have replied and I'm waiting for a reply back from them hopefully they will help. Thanks Buffysmum and Zoe the owner is doing all the right things and he his very experienced with GSD but just needs some help. He as been on to the dog wardens again so hopefully they will help too. But my feeling is that GSD rescue will help out. Keep save Tess. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

GSD MAD you are not a million miles away from me but due to ankle injury can only hobble very short distances. Please stay in contact with farmers as Doglady says, with pregnant ewes around you will need them on your side but as they will probably be checking thier flocks more often hopefully you will get more reports of seeing Tess. At least she is staying around the area. Keep pestering the Dog Warden (you do contribute to their wages you know). I know in Llanelli they have their work cut out but this is urgent now. Stay safe Tess. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

We have been in touch with the dog warden office over a week ago, they said that they would be out that day to see us (we are still waiting). We have also contacted the 2 dog pounds which the Carmarthenshire County Council take lost dogs to. We have been closely covering the area & keeping watch for her but she is very ilusive. We have made numerous posters & have them displayed in shops etc. Tess was not a rescue dog, we bought her from a person in East Sussex, on arriving at our home she bolted out of the cage in the back of the car & has been missing since.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

You must try and set up a vigil on her it was good of the Farmer to let you know but please remember that it is laming and not all farmers are patient when it comes to stray dogs, I know she as not had time to get to know you but you must try and keep a good look out for her in the mornings and just before dark may be the local DW could help with a Trap, try and get as many people to help and try and get a mapping out of the sightings also check out barns and old building where she may be resting. And most important put up lots of posters and keep in contact with all the farmers in the area. I wish I was close to help but miles away but you must do all you can to keep her away from the farms. good luck I have every thing cross for this girl. Also did you get this girl from a Rescue is there anyway they could help as they may know her better. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Tuesday 5th Feb 08 Tess has been seen today at Brondini Fach farm by the farmer at Five Roads. She was crossing through fields towards Hebredeg Road, then seemingly vanished. She has been seen here on at least one other occasion. It seems that she is staying around the same area. The local postman has seen her and says that she looks very dirty. GSD MAD, welcome on board DL and thanks for leaving an update. Everyone on DL will do the best to help you find Tess and get her back home to you. You need to poster the area as far as possible and cover DW's and police in neighbouring Council's. Posters need displaying in the areas. Good luck and hope to see Tess in the blue soon. Tess is a 14 month old German Shepherd bitch, she is dark brindle (grey with black markings & a very dark face. She went missing on Saturday 19th January between Five Roads & Cynheidre. She has been seen on the cycle track at Cynheidre, she has also been seen at the Quarry in Hebredeg Road, between Five Roads & Pontyates 31st January 08. The last sighting of her was at Brondini Fach Farm, Five Roads on Friday 1st Feb 08. Tess was purchased (from Essex) on the day that she went missing 19th January 08, therefore does not know the area. She is very timid & afraid of strangers. She may aproach other dogs but is not an agressive dog. We are desperate for news of her, so please if you think that you have seen her please contact me.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I've spoken to owners to try and find a similar photo and emailed one to admin. Owners only had Tess about two weeks. They have been searching for her and contacted DW, Police and local rescues. Owner has registered and said they will leave an update. If anyone knows rescues owners can try please leave details. Jan x Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
