- The best news. The heartache is over. Lots of love to dad and pup x

- I heard the same from another source so I think we can be assured that Geordie is back where he belongs. A lot of people will be very happy to hear this. Clever boy started following the same route so that he had more of a chance of finding his dad. So very, very pleased.

- Looks like he's been found :) From post on Mortimer Village Partnership: UPDATE
MY SISTER JUST CALLED - HE'S BEEN FOUND!! IN ROBERT'S CAR - AND THEY ARE HEADING BACK HOME FOR A BIG TASTY MEAL AND A LOT OF STROKING!!! THANK YOU EVERYBODY, WE ARE SO RELIEVED! - 2017-11-21 15:54 Contented Canines
- Rob, it's Darren, I'll be out again this evening on my bike. I'll touch base with you around 1930-2000 hrs. I've done all the lanes today around the area as well as a large section of the forest area behind the Calleva and Impstone on my bike, speaking to people to spread the word. Nearly every dog walker is aware mate.

- He's so hungry...strong smelling food could lure him.....dog trappers use boiled fish or meat
Please doG youre successful soon - 2017-11-21 07:44 Philippa
- This sounds like really good progress, very relieved that he is showing himself. I will walk a circuit from impstone this morning taking in methodist church and silchester. Fingers crossed - I think Geordie wants to come home and is trying to overcome his caution now.

- Geordie, Lost Dog
Update Tuesday morning 6.23am
We were so close yesterday but he went to ground again overnight. Today one of us will stay outside the calleva. He was seen looking in the conservatory window whilst we were up at the Methodist church after someone had spotted him there. That was a good spot but by the time we arrived he’d trotted off again. We think he’s doing a circuit in the forest and by the pub where he would be able to catch Rob’s scent now. Please keep letting us know but only one of us will come to spots away from the pub. Everyone has been so kind and helpful. It restores your faith in humanity. Thank you. - 2017-11-20 21:29 LizK
- He was sighted at the calleva arms in silchester looking in the window from the pub garden just when we’d gone up the road to another sighting. All within a short distance of each other. We’re staying put here for a while now hoping the scents bring him back getting closer but please keep looking in the silchester/pamber Heath areas. Thanks to everyone for all the effort you are making. It is wonderful to live in a community like this.

- Saw him very clearly today around 4.30 just outside the gate to the common, at Silchester Methodist Church. He seems to be hanging around the same area. Rob has been there calling for him since.
- 2017-11-20 16:06 LizK
- Thank you we’ve been back up to impstone today but no luck we’ll go back again no one has seen him today.
- 2017-11-20 11:52 steve
- I saw him yesterday about 2.30pm on Sunday 19th going through the gates on Kings Road back in to Pamber Heath Forest

- Reached out to a dog trapping network just in case the owner feels it's worth doing :)
- 2017-11-20 07:37 Jo Webber
- Would a trap be of any use for him seeing as he's still so nervous and new to the area? Have shared the new photo.
- 2017-11-20 07:21 Philippa
- Hi Liz, to see the new photo, press ctrl key and f5 at the same time, this will refresh your page. There is a lovely clear picture of Geordie. I wonder if Geordie is trying to get back to the place he last saw you, i.e. Impstone Road entrance and is being thwarted by the fences and gates surrounding silchester common. I'll go out and walk between Impstone and Silchester later. Fingers crossed for some good news today.

- UPDATE
MISSING CAN YOU HELP.
Photo of Geordie, a missing lurcher, seen several times in Silchester today, he has lost his navy blue coat. My son is inconsolable, Geordie is frightened of most things, he is a rescue dog from Newbury Dogs Trust. He slipped his collar in a panic in Pamber Forest on his first visit there on Saturday. He is here for a short visit. Please share and contact if any news. We keep just missing him, he won’t go to anyone, and by the time you lovely people have rung and we’ve arrived he’s shot off again. But it’s good to know where you’ve seen him. Today it was all in, or very near to, Silchester You’ve all been so kind. - 2017-11-19 16:16 LizK
- Seen several times in silchester this afternoon. We are sitting outside the calleva arms hoping he comes this way again. He seems to be around silchester for sure. Please keep a look out as we are nearby if spotted thank you

- Where exactly in Silchester was he seen? Does it seem like he has got out of the Pamber Forest gates/fences?
Will head over in that directionLast edited: 2017-11-19 08:58:44 by janeward33 - 2017-11-19 07:52 Philippa
- Will be heading out at 9am with my dogs to Impstone road. Geordie met my two lurchers on Friday - so maybe will come out to greet them. Rob (owner) has my contact details if needed.

- Geordie is my son’s dog. They are visiting me in Mortimer. They live on the Isle of Wight, so Geordie is unfamiliar with the local area. Today was the first time he had been to Pamber Forest. He slipped his collar in a Pamber Forest near the Impstone Road car park at about 12.30pm. He was spotted twice in Silchester between 1 and 1.30pm. A lot of people have been look8ng, you are all wonderful. Geordie is a rescue dog and never willingly leaves my sons side. Only if he panics.

- I have liaised with the owner who states that the dog originates from Mortimer, about 2 miles from Silchester, and went missing whilst visiting relatives near Impstone Road. From my last contact at just before 22:00hrs, he is still missing.
I have just returned home for fresh torch batteries, heading back out shortly. - 2017-11-18 22:00 Lorraine
- Just got back from spending 2 hours in Pamber Forest with Contented Canine. Didn’t see or hear anything. On the road back met a couple out with a dog who has also been out looking today.
