- OWNER ON FB:- Snowflake went missing from a field near Thornford Road, Sherborne, DT9 6PT between approximately 13:45 - 14:00 on Friday 7 April 2017; exactly 5 months ago today. I personally will never forget that day, I feel physically sick when I think about it now.
There is not a day that goes by when I don't think about Snowflake: where is she; who took her and why? I hope that whoever has her is treating her well and that she will be coming home soon - her bed is still here waiting for her to reclaim it!
The local police team have been helpful in sharing information on their social media sites and in the local papers - and I thank them for that and for the tips on how to further my search for Snowflake.
So, if you have seen a dog that looks like Snowflake (further description below), know where she is or have even heard something through a third party, please ring the Police on 101 quoting Crime Reference No. 55170052219. This can even be done anonymously.
Thank you for looking at this post and please share with your friends - because someone, somewhere knows where she is!
Further description: Snowflake is female Jack Russell terrier.
She is now 12 years old, mostly white with a couple of black patches- most notably the one over her left eye. She has a docked tail. Snowflake is micro chipped. - 2017-05-09 07:17 Poochpal - Regional Co-ordinator - South West - Police Liaison Team

- After meeting Snowflake's owner today I have asked for alerts to be sent to Frome area, a puppy missing from Sherborne around the same date was found there the next day. If anyone does see a dog looking very much like her please report to the police giving the occupancy number above or contact DogLost in complete confidence. Someone you know may have bought her not knowing that she has a family who are missing her.

- Im glad to see Snowflake has been registered. Kath although you say Snowflake doesnt normally chase rabbits, dogs do suprise us sometimes and she may have chased something without being seen and could be down a hole, perhaps it might be worth appealing for someone on Dorset doglost with an endiscope (to look down the holes) or phone the Working Terrier Club, just to double check rabbit holes in the locality of where she disappeared as at least everything would have been covered, hope there is some news soon x

- Thank you Jasper. Snowflake doesn't normally chase rabbits or deer. It is also totally out of character of her to wander away. She normally stays close by. Myself and my husband have searched the woods several times now and walked the fields into Sherborne. Thank you very much for your help, it is very much appreciated.

- Thank you Jasper, the owners appreciate all the help and support. A shame there is still no sign of little Snowflake.

- I Will have a good look around the woods this evening even though I'm sure it will have been done many times before. Would Snowflake have gone into any of the other areas of woodland that can be seen from google earth, perhaps chasing deer/ rabbits?

- Advice emailed to owner. 3 going missing in this area within 24 hours is very unusual, the other 2 are reunited due to all the shares raising awareness, please let this be the case with Snowflake too.
