- Unfortunatly owner has had no news or further sightings. Hopefully Mabel and Flash will both get scanned and the microchips will get them home.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Just back from previously booked week's holiday. I did manage to mostly enjoy it as I'm afraid I'm getting used to the situation. However, heard nothing from anyone surprisingly. Had my phone on all the time and family all ready to help as I was sure I'd get a call for the "reward"/"costs" or whatever these opportunist thieves like to call it. Neither Mabel nor Flash are of any use to them. But nothing. There's hardly a person alive who hasn't seen the posters. Presumably chucked them back out on the road again. IF any of it's true, of course......Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Have emailed / faxed posters to vets in Horsham, Billingshurst, Storrington, Cranleigh, Dorking, Chiddingfold, Steyning, Burgess Hill, Hassocks, Haywards Heath and Henfield. The faxed copies will be black and white so if want the full list and maybe post / deliver colour pictures then PM with your email address. Will try and find as many kennels, rescues, dog clubs and send them detailsLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- I've heard it all now !! Who would do such a ridiculous thing? Sounds very odd to me. Are the travellers still there? If so, get the idiot who handed the dogs to them on a plate to "pop " into their campsite and just take them back !!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Amazing they must have thought their birthdays had all come at once - didn't even have to go and get them! Am I being naive in thinking they could just be collected from there now we know, or have they moved on? Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Thanks so much - all of you...someone heard two terriers barking in the woods near here. This person couldn't account for them as all her neighbours have big dogs. I went to see, taking Bonnie, Mabel's dam, Flash's granddam, but could hear nothing. I slightly wonder if they've been chucked out of a car today near where they were picked up now they're locally "hot" and not fertile. Maybe, just maybe, they might come home this evening. Otherwise - who knows. The fact that one hasn't come back on it's own is odd. But who'd want them? Flash is pretty smart little dog but no "use" to anyone else. Also Mabel is lame, has Perthe's disease in her hips which needs operating on again and has only just had another minor op last week. She's a wreck! but a feral terrier with no self preservation at all! If she's off the lead for 3 seconds, she's gone, across the farm. All this speculation.....I hit a low today. It's very tough.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Hello all - this is Cate, Flash and Mabel's owner. This "adventure" is a normal occurrence but, not off the farm and not overnight, let alone 3 so something's wrong..... We've done loads very locally. A have a chum who's covering Billingshurst, down to Pulborough, Storrington, etc. I'm going further north of Wisborough Green, Kirdford, Loxwood etc. I'm also trying other dog wardens and police not immediately local to me. The NFU and the Chiddingfold Leconfield and Cowdray Hunt email lists will spread the word too. Any more news and ideas, I'll let you know.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Posters need to be displayed as soon as possible on notice boards, lamp posts, entrances to parks, dog bins and on cars. Take posters to vets, pet shops, postmen (for sorting offices), milkmen, dustmen, street cleaners, taxi drivers, schools, pubs, youth clubs, newsagents, post offices, takeaways, dog training clubs, supermarkets and car parks. Hand out reduced-down posters or cards to people - especially dog walkers - and deliver to houses and businesses. Police stations, Dog Wardens, the RSPCA and all rescue centres need checking frequently and preferably visited in person by owner or someone who knows Mabel well. Stay safe Mabel, until we find you x Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
