Can not understand this. What dog was lost or stolen ? There is no information on this site from doglost so what is everyone talking about? I live in this area so it worries me.

I will get this poster up at the rescue as soon as there is a photo. Have the owners registered their lost girl with SDR? tel 01494 482695. Speak to deputy manager Susan Berryman. I have told her about this little dog, so she is waiting for further details.

Hi Guys Tim and I are only 4 miles from Stokenchurch we have had two dogs stolen since December 2005 and the latest attempt was July 2006 but the dog got away from them. I am in stokenchurch most days as my parents live there. It is not advisable for anyone to visit this site as there is only one way in and one way out we have been advised not to go anywhere near. The site has been there for a number of years but new people keep coming and going. I suppose it was quite considerate of them to leave to dog at the rescue centre, they normally just dump them!! I will forward this alert to all of the people I know that have had dogs stolen in our area, there are approx 25 - 30 of us!!!

PrincessJo, this is not an official Bucks site, so it is not advisable to go on it without ascertaining something about the residents. That means either talking to Gypsy Liaison at Bucks CC to see if they know the residents or the Enforcement Officer at the local authority who will have visited any illegal encampment. If there is a connection between this site and the thefts, then they are not going to welcome visitors. If there is a suspicion that a dog is on a site then it should be observed from a safe distance. Some police forces will take a look if you convince them your dog is there.

Hi We are only about 15 miles from Stockenchurch, Rosie was stolen on 4th April HP18 had possible sighting in the High Wycome area several months ago with no luck please keep a look out for her if she was taken by gypsies she may turn up in this area 5750

I'm in North Bucks and will continue to warn everyone I see leaving a dog in their car/tied up ouside shop or even just walking their dog if I get the chance!

gypsies dumped a little shih tzu at Stokenchurch dog rescue, probably the same lot. The kennels have been alerted.

Hi Jayne @ DOGLOST, Stokenchurch is near High Wycombe in Bucks, and as I live in Chinnor (OX39) which is just down the hill and is in South Oxfordshire, I will poster alerts where I walk, including Bradenham, Saunderton, Bledlow and Bledlow Ridge. (all Bucks), and pass on the word to all my friends with dogs. Linda T
