Hi left a message on your mobile. There are 2 golden cockers at Mill Rescue in Sutterton today. One is a boy called Toby and the other is called Copper but I can't tell from the photo if it is a boy or girl. As it's not too far from you I would give them a call. The number is 01205 460481 or 07843560051. Hope it's good news. AlisonLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Glad you are still looking, so many people just give up hope. There was a Border Terrier recovered last week after being missing over 2 years so it just goes to show you shuld never stop searching. I am still hopeful you will get her back one day.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Selby Game Fair this coming Bank Holiday weekend is being held at Market Rasen racecourse 2rd/5th May inc. It may be worth going along as travellers often go to these fairs and sell dogs from the back of vans. AlisonLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thank you Alison. I've followed up another lead this morning - but unfortunately it isn't Freddie (I had a message from a rescue centre in Leicestershire that someone had seen a dog similar to Freddie in the RSPCA centre in Leicester). Many thanks again to everyone. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Just finished my sponsored dog walk at Doddington Hall. There was a large poster of Freddie pinned to the stewards table when I arrived. I put 70 posters on cars in the car park after I had done the walk. Will keep on postering in and around the Louth area. Alison.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Just wanted to thank everyone again for their support and help. We still haven't found Freddie & we all miss her so much. Our other 2 dogs are so quiet & obviously can't figure out what's happened. I'm following up the lead from pointerlover on 24th - many thanks for that.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Spoke to Freddieds owner last night. It seems that she went out for a walk with her owner and their other 2 dogs. She tends not to stay close by but they can usually hear her sniffing around. At some point during the walk she just disappeared. It is a vast area of woodland (44 acres) so she could be anywhere. They have had search parties out looking but not a sign anywhere. They have looked in the undergrowth in case she has collapsed and died but nothing. Apparently there is an old ww2 bunker in the woods. It is closed up but they removed the covers and looked inside but still no luck. I don't know this area at all but if someone can give me directions I may take 2 of my dogs over there today. Can anyone get posters to local rescue centres. I have given owners numbers of the ones I know but there may be more. Owner told me she has gone off before but usually turns up a couple of hours later. She also said when her husband returned from the walk he said he instinctively knew there was something wrong whereas normally he wouldn't worry as she usually finds her way home.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
