I am so pleased that all your hard work and patience worked to get your lovely lass safe home
Nikki R
And just to let you know, Lottie is doing very well, the reunion with the whole family was emotional but very happy on all parts. Lottie has been checked by the vet and apart from having lost 2 kilos and a sore paw, she will hopefully be fine with antibiotics and LOTS of TLC. She is exhausted and has slept a lot but wakes with a wagging tail. Can't believe after her ordeal she is home safe again.
Nikki R
We are beyond delighted to have Lottie home. It's the happy ending we all prayed for. We are very grateful to the residents of the area for their help and kindness and of course, to the searchers for their endless endeavours. It has been a horrendous few weeks, at times we thought it would never end well, but we have really appreciated all the comments and good luck wishes. Thank you everyone

At 9.11 tonight, we received a telephone call with the news we have been desperate to hear...Lottie had been caught and was safely inside a house in Wheathill! Jan & I raced over and picked her up and returned her to her family. She was very happy and lively and obviously pleased to be home. Thanks to everyone who has helped in this search, we and her family are eternally grateful.
Neighbark
Ludlow Pony club members now been emailed Lottie's Doglost page and asked to keep a lookout.
Are you taking food out with you when you search for her?
jens74
Have been keeping my eye on this little ones story... hope you have some good news soon. x
AnnieSparky
Am hoping so much you catch little Lottie soon xx Good Luck :)
Paul
No further sightings today. However, 2 people contacted us following the Shropshire Star ad tonight. One had seen her running up Bitterley Lane at lunchtime on Tuesday, the other saw her on Monday near Gobbett Rare Breeds farm.
Paul
Thank you very much Neighbark. Lottie was spotted by someone on horseback recently. We have people out every day looking for her including many local people from Clee Hill. We are grateful to anyone who can look for her in any way, including riders, as you may cover different ground within the same area and may spot her. It is useful if people can carry the contact number with them when out, so we can contacted quickly and can alert someone who may be closer. Thank you.
Neighbark
I've just emailed this page to Ludlow Pony Club - I've asked if it could be emailed to every member (about 150 members) - as many of them live around that area. Let me know if u r going to organise a big search party if she's not found by the weekend - and we'll come and help.
BBKM
So so close, hope you catch your girl today xx
Paul
Lottie was spotted on cctv at Lower Bromdon Farm walking through the farmyard at around 10.30am today. One of our team was there checking the trap and she must have walked by close to him! After being alerted by the landowner, he followed her down to the fish pools, where she turned and looked at him and ran off again, disappearing from sight. So we know that she had come back to Lower Bromdon again from Bedlam.
B30
Good luck today!
Gaynor
Keep looking here to see what progress with little Lottie ... she's certainly leading you a merry dance, little madam! She looks so gorgeous, I do hope she's home safe and sound soon. Good Luck with the trap tomorrow.

So close again......hope tomorrows the day for you and Lottie. Lots of luck to Team Lottie xx
Paul
Lottie didn't put in an appearance today until 4.30pm - unfortunately we were not told unil 5.30pm. She was seen in the grounds of Bitterley Court. At 7.30pm she was spotted off Dhustone Lane making her way to either Angel Lane or Bedlam. At 8pm she was seen in Bedlam dingle. Despite our team being on site within a few minutes, 5 people + dog could not catch her. She was seen at close range several times during this time but disappeared either into the dingle or Brinks wood. It is now too dark to look for her. Another trap will be set tomorrow.
BBKM
Come on Lottie take the bait xx

Cant wait for her to go to blue.xx

Been logging in daily to see if Lottie has been caught, i just love cockers. Wishing you lots of luck with the trap. Come on girl time to come home now.

Come on Lottie.....we need you home xx
skippy
Good luck! Be brave little Lottie!
BBKM
Good luck with the trap, hoping today is the day you get your girl home safe. So very close now xx
B30
I'm so glad that a trap is up now, it all increases the chances of catching her without relying on her being brave enough to approach humans. Come on Lottie, time to come home now sweetie.
AnnieSparky
Gosh, you were so close...... Must be difficult deciding where to put a trap. You are doing so well and getting closer each time......fingers crossed for you and Lottie x
Paul
Thank you AnnieSparky, we do have a trap in place now. Thank you Twinkles, you did a good job there. Today's sightings were 1) 10.50am Lower Bromdon Farm. We were there within 5 minutes but she had gone. 2)1.30pm Cleedownton near the Stoke St Milborough turn 3) 5pm Jan & I saw her heading down Cleestanton Road towards Bitterley. She turned and saw us and raced away. We followed her into a cornfield, where she disappeared in front of our eyes as the corn was high. We searched around the field for her but could not see her. Gamekeeper returned with his Cocker Spaniel male at 8pm who sniffed her out and they touched noses, but she would not come near the Gamekeeper. She was last seen heading towards Bitterley vilage at 9.15pm
Twinkles
Hi Paul - I cycled over Catherton Common, up Magpie Hill, over to the summit of Titterstone Clee Hill, down to Jack Mytton Way to Lower Brandon, back via Clee St Mary and Silvington. i talked to a few locals, handed out some posters and postered at Clee St Mary and Farlow/Oreton parish notice boards. Gave a poster to a workman at the Radar Station too. Had some good views from the summits but regrettably I didn't see any sign of Lottie.
AnnieSparky
Great Lottie being sighted. Apologies if you have already thought of this....but is it the right time to put some traps down. I read the story of the cocker Lady on here (ID 20673)....after weeks they put traps out with salmon (I think) and in she went. Fingers crossed Lottie home soon xx
Paul
Lottie was seen at around 10.45am in the Loughton area, by someone on horseback and she went through a farmyard. Unfortunately she had disappeared by the time we arrived.
AnnieSparky
Good luck everyone searching for Lottie....hopefully today someone will see her again....or even pick her up. x
Paul
Unfortunately, there were no sightings of Lottie yesterday (Saturday) but we are continuing to search the area.
Paul
Thank you Vicky. I have informed Lottie's owners who will be around the area early tomorrow. Yes it is quite possible that it was Lottie that you saw on Monday as we know she visits that area. We had a call this afternoon following the local newspaper ad, which gave us 2 more sightings in the area yesterday. 1 was around the BT site where she was seen on Wednesday and she was also seen early in the day by the Kremlin pub. Also we have been told that 2 men saw her somewhere in the Cleeton Lane area last night.
B30
Thanks for the update Vicky, I'm sure Paul will find this info very useful
Vicky
Just to let you know that my brother in law saw Lottie again by Lower Bromdon Farm this morning at 8 o clock, he tried to coax her in with food, but she then ran away over the fields. I have told them to keep an eye out for her. I think it must have been Lottie I saw by the sheltered housing on Monday morning in Clee Hill she was stood by someones door. I will find phone number and send it to you
BBKM
Stay safe Lottie, please slow down so your family can come and get you to take you home. Good luck everyone x
Paul
Hi Vicky. Lottie ran off from a cottage next to the Angel House B&B on Angel Bank. Thanks for the info re Topsy, could you call us with your mother-in-law's phone no please? Sue, thanks for the info; will discuss with the dog-warden. Lottie was seen twice in the Cleeton St. Mary area this afternoon. It looked as tho' she was making her way back towards Dhustone.
B30
Paul have emailed you with details of someone that you may want to contact
slabcabbage
Come on Lottie
we want to see you back home
stay safe sweetheart
B30
Thanks Vicky, have just sent a msg to alert Paul to your post
Vicky
Hi can I ask where about the house was the she escaped from? As I know on my way to work in Ludlow sometime during the week I am pretty sure I saw a dog like this by someones front door, but Im not sure if it was Lottie. The sighting at Lower Bromdon farm is where my mother in law lives and I think the white jack russell with a brown spot is her dog topsy. I will ask her to keep an eye out for Lottie, now I know more.
Paul
Yesterday late morning, she was seen at Bromdon Static Caravan Park, then at Cleeton Court Farm about noon. At 15.15, she was seen by the BT site off The Crescent. So, back in the Dhustone area. Tuesday & Wednesday mornings she was alos seen at Lower Bromdon Farm with a Jack Russell(white with brown patch).
We now have Jane Salisbury, the dog-warden, on the case.
B30
Thanks Barney n Ozzies mum, Paul has the plotting and scenting info and we've also discussed it on the phone. They have been mapping Lottie's movements from the sightings that have come in so far but she's still very flightly at the moment when anyone spots her.

Paul does she like other dogs? If so do you know anyone with a dog that you can let off the lead to approach her so that humans can keep their distance?
Barney 'n' Ozzie's mum
Have you tried plotting the sightings on a map to see if they form a triangle? (Details would prob have been emailed to you by admin along with the scenting information). This really does work and would give you a particular area to focus on x
Spangles
Too far away to physically help on this one too like poor little Kip, but keeping everything crossed that little Lottie is home where she belongs really soon.....stay safe little one until you are found x
Paul
Thank you for your ideas and the 'searching team' all know that they mustn't chase and we all carry leads and food, we also tell everyone we meet the same, that they must not chase but drop to the ground and not make eye contact. Unfortunately no-one has been in the right position to be able to do this. She takes off so quickly and it is such a vast area that we have to rely on chance encounters and other people alerting us to where she has been seen. So far, by the time someone gets there she has already run off.
Barney 'n' Ozzie's mum
I expect you already know this, but if you take chase after a fleeing dog it is likely to take off even faster. I really do appreciate how difficult it must be even to get a sighting of her and the fact that she is so nervous, but next time she's spotted would suggest getting as close to the ground as possible and letting out a loud whimper. You need to get her attention and make her inquisitive enough to stay around and investigate. Real pattience and VERY slow movements are needed from there on. Would be an idea to have a slip lead on you too incase she gets close enough. Just wish I was close enough to help x
slabcabbage
Thinking of you just wish I lived closer to help.
stay safe Lottie xx
AnnieSparky
Wish I was closer to help you all......can the man from Hollytrees Rescue help you as mentioned by Wensmum (post 9/6 at 18:36)? Am sure you are thinking of everything possible....hope someone manages to find Lottie for you very soon....good she is being spotted x
Nikki R
Despite a couple of sightings yesterday and reports about her, unfortunately Lottie remains missing. Being a nervous dog before, this ordeal must have terrified her, which is probably why she is running off every time and is too scared to be caught. The disheartening thing is that where she was seen yesterday was 5/6 miles from where the search has been concentrated for the past week, making the area to search even more vast. The positive thing is that she is still around and obviously well enough to run. we just have to keep hoping.
Paul
Vacuum cleaner contents used for scenting already, also bed left out. Lottie was sighted this afternoon around the Stoke St Milborough area, but ran off over a field and couldn't be caught.
Barney 'n' Ozzie's mum
I see you have already tried scenting, but what about leaving the contents of your vacuum cleaner bag in the area or maybe her bed? Failing thta, do you know anyone with a trap?
B30
Paul is she used to going in the car? She's obviously in the Dhustone Lane area quite a bit and if she travels in the car her own scent will be in it. You could try parking up and leave a back door open. I remember someone else doing this and their dog came out of the bushes and jumped in.
Paul
Lottie was seen today off Dhustone Lane towards the car park at Titterstone Clee. Unfortunately, by the time people got there she was nowhere to be seen. At least it would appear thst she's still in the same area.
Paul
Many thanks to all those who turned out yesterday. Disappointing that we didn't even see her. Many more pairs of eyes will be out there today; let's pray for a result.
Nikki R
Hi Natalie, thank you so much for all your help and kind support. No sightings today I am sad to say. Such a shame after yesterday's hope. Our friend is out there at the moment with his dog, who Lottie likes to play with in the hope her scent may bring her out, but the area is so vast. Just hoping she is staying around the same area as yesterday's sightings.
natalie0709
Hi Nikki, Have there been any confirmed sightings of Lottie today? We looked from the Dhustone, through Random and the back lanes from Bitterley for her but obviously no luck.. If you have mapped a triangle of some kind and would like us to look tomorrow in a certain area please let me know. It does not seem as though she has gone far thankfully. Just need the sightings to keep coming in and stay positive. I know of a few people up here that have been looking so am confident that she will be found for you. Take care xx
Nikki R
I'm Lottie's owner, Nikki. We are all desperate to find our lovely dog, as we are missing so much. We are deeply upset that she is missing and we will keep hoping for a happy outcome. We would like to thank everyone for their help in the search for her, and we are very grateful for the kindness that people have shown us.
wensmum
If you get definate sightings and she is so nervous could be a good idea to contact Ray Dedicoat of Hollytrees Rescue at Wythall - he might come out, it isn't too far away, he is brilliant at catching dogs, he has all the patience in the world, and is so kind and helpful - if he can't come, will talk you through his methods - 01564 823244 is the rescue centre, they will pass messages on. Good luck, I hope she is soon safe home again
B30
Thanks Natalie. I've emailed some information on approaching dogs in this situation in case you spot her.
natalie0709
This is my area Sue, I am off out with my husband and boys to look for Lottie now. We know the Dhustone area well so keeping everything crossed we can bring her home xxx
B30
Just had a chat with Paul about Lottie's sightings and discussed a few new ideas. No new sightings yet today.
Barney 'n' Ozzie's mum
What a shame! Don't know if it's already been suggested, but is there a dog that Lottie knows well that you can take with you when you're searching? Just thought she might be a little braver with a four-legged friend in tow...
Paul
Lottie spotted on car park of Golden Lion pub at 12:20 today. Ten minutes later she was seen on the old railway track, and followed by one of the searchers. He lost sight of her but, at 12:45 we spotted her walking up Dhustone Lane above the cattle-grid area. When she saw us she turned and ran back downhill, turning back towards the disused railway track area. Unfortunately, she disappeared from view. Despite the best efforts of all involved we couldn't find her. So close!
Barney 'n' Ozzie's mum
Come on Lottie, time to go home now sweetheart. Please show yourself to your dad xx
B30
Good luck with the search.
Paul
Was seen at 11:30pm last night, going up track towards Pottery Villa; which is off the main Ludlow Road A4117. People are out there now, searching.
Paul
No sightings at all today. Not surprising, the weather was dreadful!
Thanks to Sunshine Radio for their bulletins; the more people who know about Lottie, the more chance we have of someone finding her.
BBKM
Hope Lottie is home safe very soon x
B30
Good that you're getting sightings and know that she's still around Paul. She's probably got a sheltered spot somewhere to get out of the bad weather and might be venturing out to look for food. I hope she shows herself again today.
Paul
Lottie was seen by a dog-walker at 10:45 towards the top of Titterstone Clee.
Although we got there within 10 minutes, there was no sign of her.
Scenting was applied in an attempt to guide her back; fingers crossed it works.
We also tried barbecueing sausages, so that she might be attracted by the smell.
Twinkles
Have added Lottie's doglost page to Cleobury Neighbourhood Watch Facebook page. Will try and get out on my bike later this afternoon and ride the bridleways around The Park.
Paul
Very close. Will try scenting tomorrow, hopefully, avoiding the main road.
B30
Ian how far is this from the house that she went missing from? Is it near enough and safe enough to scent?
Ian
Lottie was seen up Angel Lane on Tuesday 5th June 2012 around 12.45pm. So she is still around the local Angel Bank, Bitterley area.
Ian
Lottie was seen by Bitterley Church on 4th June 2012 around 1pm.
Paul
Last seen at midnight on 3rd June in same area, Angel Bank

Spoke to owner, he has postered and has had it put on local radio. Chip company cannot be contacted until Wednesday as DW. It is quite a rural area but as she has been seen I think scenting instructions may be worth sending.
