Zeus has definitely been returned. He is back at owners nans house and owner will be collecting him today.

Owners nan was due to collect Zeus tonight, when owner confirms he was.collected, I will let you know. I really hope he is back.

A man found him on Saturday and has been looking after him since.
I wonder if the doglost posters prompted him to cone forward as he clearly didn't get him scanned at the vets.
Thank you for your help on getting Zeus back home where he belongs.

Keep those posters going and contact everyone who can help - dog warden, kennels, on a daily basis, radio, newspapers.... Kid, have you got an e-mail address?

It sounds like someone has taken him in/picked him up and thus posters etc are paramount. Radio? He is very distinctive and the fact he needs meds will give you extra hope of getting the media to cover it I would think. Definitely needs to be made 'too hot to handle' just in case finder has taken a fancy to him, but still hopeful that whoever found him doesn't know about reporting to DW etc Please get the pup chipped and tagged....

Good luck with finding this fella ! I think the more posters you can get up the better. If you are offering a reward and the fella has been stolen to sell on, you may get lucky. As they may phone you up to get the reward money instead. What is good is that he is a distinctive dog so people may hae seen him around. Try local schools with mini flyers as well. Good luck ! x

I've spoken to owner about chances of Zeus being stolen but she thinks it was unlikely as their other husky (a pup) was still sitting in the garden with the gate open. Also, Zeus was spotted outside the garden on his own.
It's very strange that there has been no sightings so far.

I have amended the poster and info to reflect the information the public requires to help find Zeus. I will now post the plea owner originally placed on the info section: "Zeus disappeared from the front garden of my nan's at about 12pm Saturday afternoon 11/2/12. We have had him for six years since he was 12 weeks old. We have another husky who is missing Zeus very much! We are only in the London area till Sunday 12th (12/2/12). Please, please contact us with any info."

Hi kid. Sounds to me like he's been stolen. I did think of that when he first popped up on here. You need to make him too hot to handle. Did you see the e-mails I sent the owner - if not I need to send them to you. This tells you what to do and where to go. You need hundreds of posters up (I will put on poster that he needs medication and it is urgent to find him, okay?) Get a poster in all the pubs as sometimes people sell the dogs on, just to make money and it can happen in a pub. But first of all report this to the police tell them he has been stolen from the garden - get a CRIME number not a incident number but a CRIME number. The fact that he has vanished into thin air supports this theory. This kind of dog is too noticeable to be on the loose and not seen. The other thing is, you need to check the council and highways departments for the roads and also if there is any railway line near, you need to check that too - by putting loads of posters up and getting as close as you can without going on it. Also let the station know and Network Rail/Underground. You may have to work on the police to get them to help, but they should see sense. Let me have your email addy and I will send info to you. I'm doing lots of searches for white alsations for sale as well as huskies.
His owner sent a photo of Zeus to the warden as they could make a mistake with his breed.
We don't have any information at all on him. Its as if he has vanished in to thin air!

Just a thought, white Siberians are often mistaken for white German shepherds by the public, he may be being described as such by dog warden/online ads/anyone trying to pass him on for cash. Another reason to visit dog warden/pound in person.

Have linked on several husky Facebook pages and forums.

Edited to add: Is it worth updating the poster to include the fact that he has an eye condition? Hinting that he has a permanent expensive medical problem could deter people from keeping him.

Thank you for the suggestions of who to phone, I will pass them on.
The owner was only visiting for the weekend and sadly has had to return home without Zeus but she is constantly making calls and emailing his photo.
I don't know if he was stolen, he was put in the garden and the gate was opened. I don't know if he managed to open it or if someone else opened it.

I find it so strange that he hasn't been seen at all. It does make me believe that someone is holding him. I have been looking online to see if anyone is selling a grown husky but haven't seen any yet.

Zeus is on medication for an eye condition. He needs to return him so he can continue with the medication.

Kid, I would go down to the dog warden if you can, just to be sure Zeus is not there.

Also print posters up and put them around homerton hospital area, millfieilds park and entrances to hackney marshes

I am the owners cousin and there has been no sightings of Zeus at all. She emailed a photo of Zeus to the dog warden I think so they have an image of him. We have also been advertising this page through twitter, facebook and by putting posters up too. We can't believe there havn't been any sightings of him at all.
