This is such good news. I was only thinking of her 2 days ago and how her owner told me she always felt deep down she would be stolen.

We are absolutely over the moon!!! She was found by the police with travellers nearby...
She went mad when she saw us and galloped around the house with joy! She is now a little shocked to be in a fire lit house I think and is fast asleep on my lap on the sofa :D

I have the greatest pleasure of moving Lola over to the blue, it's taken over a year but she is back where she belongs now. I will leave it to the owners to update.

Bumped due to news report in The Western Gazette.
Spindle
Owner great suggestion her by fionap58. Get posters up where collar was maybe!!!
fionap58
Would the person who stole Lola take the time to remove the collar and put it on a post? Instinct tells me it may have been discarded and picked up by someone on foot who thought it had been dropped by the owner. Poster in that area to see if the person who picked it up respond and make a note on the posters to ask the person to call in.
Lucy
We have arranged for all the sites nearby to be checked by someone associated with the RSPCA.
Teddys Mum - Area Volunteer, West London
If there are any traveller sites nearby, phone the council and ask for the lliason officer to go in and check for her.
DogLostPoochpal - Regional Co-ordinator - South West - Police Liaison Team
I have just seen on another site that Lola's collar was found close to her home, it looks as though it had been torn off and left on a post.
I have bumped her due to this, owner needs to go back to the police if not already done so.
fionap58
re my last comment, I meant traveller sites but I have to say that they're not known for taking dogs in the area so it may well have been a passing rogue :( It might help if people knew the circumstances via the poster and were asked if they saw anything that day?
Spindle
fionap58 - I have already e mailed the poster to both the local dog wardens.
fionap58
Yikes this is too close to me for comfort. Try the dog wardens as they will be able to tell you if there are any other reports like this and they have good local knowledge. Call them on 01935 462462. there are a couple of sites and one unofficial site very close to you. I will poster locallyLast edited: 2011-01-16 14:44:15 by fionap58

I am so sorry to see this. I would be inclined to give the Travellers Liaision Officer at Gloucester CC, Somerset CC, Dorset CC and Devon CC have her details, plus the Travellers Liaison Officers in the police.

I live in Bridgwater and would be happy to poster this area if you can send me some. My contact details are on lost dog 23333.
Lucy
I don't know where to post this, but would i be able to get the bottom pic on the poster, i think it shows her better, thanks
DogLostPoochpal - Regional Co-ordinator - South West - Police Liaison Team
I have just spoken to the owner, Lola dissapeared from the garden at around 10.30 yesterday morning. Owners think that she was taken rather than escaped, reported to police, dog wardens and St Giles Kennels. Photo to be added soon.
