Lynn brilliant idea with the takeaway. Poster around the local parks not just Garston Park i.e. Clarke Gardens, Calderstones, Reynolds Park & Camphill anywhere where dogs are exercised concentrate on the entrances and also dog bins in the parks. Jan xxxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

There still seems to be no sightings of smudgearound the area. Posters have yet again been taken down, so we will have to go out and replace them all again over the weekend. Everyone around the area who are aware of Smudge on the run are on the look out for her even down to my 6 yr old nephew. Lynn XLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Lynn thanks for the update. Has the message been passed on about the open day at The Dogs Trust on Sunday? Will catch up when you get home. Called into RSPCA on Sunday the tiny little male Yorkie is still there if anyone is looking for one and contacts you. Jan xxxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi all I am actually working away at present but my husband is out every night looking and checking that the posters have not been removed. On a daily basis he contacts RSPCA, Dog Trust & the police. Hoping and praying that she will be home soon. Thanks all for your concerns. Lynn x x xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Lynn, I'm Michelle and I'm looking for my dog Kobe for the last 12 weeks. DOn't give up, keep repostering. I have the same problem with the posters being ripped down so I just keep putting them back up, especially round a certain park where he kids hang out. I try to take a stool and put them up higher so they're harder to get to. Also if you use cellotape really wrap it round a lot, I find the bigger reels better. Jan has sent me Smudge's(what a cutie) poster so I'll print them off and take them round with me on my travels. I also suggest putting adverts with a photo in the Echo and Merseymart but these are expensive approx ?100 to ?165 for a day but they do get responses. I think whoever has Kobe may be laying low thus it's a matter of time so I keep going on. I don't know if your going to the DT on Sun but if so see you there.XLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Updated with owners family. Still no sign of Smudge, they have had phone calls but none are Smudge. Let them know about the open day in the Dogs Trust and given them a contact for the local sports centre to see if they will display a poster if not already. Owner is unavailable for a couple of days but family are still contactable. Jan xxxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

After speaking to Jan earlier I have been to see where the posters have been removed from and it is from focal points 3 still remain around Gartson Park on lamp posts which I think would have also been removed if it was the council. I am going to replace them tomorrow and see what happens. Lynn x x x Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Lynn have you put posters around Clarkes Gardens, Calderstones, Camp Hill and Sefton Park? Otterspool Prom is another good spot for dog walkers, see if the Otterspool pub and the Britannia will let you put a poster on the door. Eventually someone will notice her especially if they see a poster. Jan xxxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I have made numerous phone calls but to no avail. Posters are all still promenant in the area. I just hope that someone sees the posters or hears about her being missing and return her home soon. Checked again with Halewood RSPCA and they are well aware of your details. They said there was a found Yorkie reported by Speke Police Station but it was not Smudge, that one is a male found in Speke and is with the finder. Checked with Merseyside Police call centre to see if any other Yorkie had been reported found. Interesting chat with the call centre worker and she was very interested in DL, hopefully will register, just the type of helpers we need. Said she is an animal lover and only recently cross matched a missing bird through the call centre. Jan xxx Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Lynn nice to see you on board DL you and your family are doing a brilliant job in searching for Smudge. Make a list of vets and petshops you have covered so we can compare and see if they have all had a poster. Jan xxx Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Unfortunately still no sightings of Smudge as yet. We have put posters in numerous locations around the local park, around the local area, in post office sorting office to alert the local posties, in shops within 3 miles of where we live, we have targeted all the schools in the area. Posters in car windows and also in my Mothers living room windows. We have contacted the police, RSPCA and Alder Vet Hospital on a daily basis. We r just hoping she will be home soon as we have her partner who is now fretting for her as they have never been apart since they were 6 wks old.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Spoke to owner earlier discussed places to check for Smudge and where to poster. Smudge has gone missing from home and family have informed DW and local police stations. Also checked Halewood RSPCA regularly and visited in person. Have emailed another picture and will forward to admin. Owner has registered and hopefully will leave updates. Posters need to be put up in the area a.s.a.p. lamposts, entrances to parks, vets, petshops, ask postie (go to sorting office), milkmen, binmen, taxi drivers, schools, youth clubs, pubs, takeaway shops, dog training clubs and deliver to houses etc. Handout smaller posters to people, especially dog walkers. Put A4 poster in car windows. Check Police stations and Dog Warden. RSPCA and rescue centres need checking regularly and preferably visited in person, by owner or someone who knows Smudge. xxx Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
