have been to see owners again today and they were very pleased that the puppies got further press coverage in the Yorkshire evening post and also Dogworld this week and wish to pass on their thanks to Keelah and anyone else involved in making this happen. It has given them a little morale booster' ! I took them round a supply of laminated posters as these seem the better option to take in areas where the posters are being torn down. Interestingly someone has been cutting along the top of some poster pouches with a knife or similar and removing the actual poster but leaving the pouch still stuck up ! Very odd ! Now I wonder who might bother to do this rather than just rip the entire thing down ? Pam x Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Bought lots more laminating pouches today and puppies owners have managed to get hold of lots of those strong plastic ties and we can fasten more posters to telegraph poles so hopefully they will stay up !! By hook or by crook we will keep our posters up ! Had a couple of new leads late last night and a possible one today and will either pm you or text you about them when I get an update tonight Pam xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Didn't get into Hemsworth last night as went out looking for Eddie- s72 & postering around woods at Great Houghton, meeting with GSD's owners tonight to follow up sme other info. Will be tomorrow before I can get back into Hemsworth properly although can put a few up whilst walking dogs tonight.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Think 2 lot mainly attacked by weather but am taking dogs out tomorrow night & will replace with one's I've managed to get laminated- will use sellotape instead of string. Think where I'm putting them up isn't too bad but think I know where you mean. Could do another hit on shops using the picture from paper- if you've still got it see if admin can changed it to show remaining puppy & try the 'have you seen my friends' approach. Eddie's owners have heard about them as well so they are on people's minds.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I have heard this afternoon that a loads of posters mainly around a certain area in Hemsworth have been pulled down so will be replacing them ASAP. Tracy I know you will probably be tied up with Eddies owners tonight but when you next get the chance can you please check up on the posters you put up and see if many have been pulled down ? thanks ! Hoping we will get more media coverage for these puppies thanks to Keelah ! I speak with the owners on a regular basis and there are certain avenues of information they are following but as Tracyb said previously I have not NOR will be posting them on here for very obvious reasons. We just hope that by keeping up the pressure we will get these puppies back !Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

One persons name keeps cropping up on this one & i'm a little concerned that owners may be in unknown terriotory with the way the are approaching some avenues of enquiry. Police lady has been very helpful & best speak to Jumanji regarding attempts being made by owners to recover pups. I haven't been speaking to owners but she has- don't want to post all info on main boards as anyone can read it (you know what I mean) Media attention should hopefully get these babies back home again- owners distraught at thefts. Have spoken to owners tonight and they are still working tirelessly to find their pups. The amount of time and effort these owners have put in is outstanding ! We are still postering and going further afield now. Also replacing as many as we can that have been ripped down !! Pam Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

yes Tracy we need to keep up the poster campaign. We have done some more and so have owners but quite a few have been ripped down over the weekend and especially in one particular area so we are going to plaster that area with more ! Hoping for more press coverage this week.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Going to poster again on our evening walk as the last couple of days has ripped some off the string- got sellotape this time & all laminated so will try that. In touch with Jumanji regarding latest updates (not all posted due to different reasons) few more posters won't hurt. Still no news on exactly where the pups are but Jumaji & owner together with others are on their toes. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

we went out last night and did more postering in Hemsworth and South Emsall again and also posted lots of flyers there. I can't disclose all that is going on behind the scenes for obvious reasons as the police are involved but everything is being done to try and find these puppies. The owners themselves are being extremely active in the search to track them down ........ they want their pups back !!!!!!! PamLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

now I did make a posting quite late last night and its not here lol Just in from work and trying to remember what I said in my update that has vanished into cyber space ! I spoke to the puppies owner yesterday afternoon and she was having no luck with the police. However the helpful officer that had been dealing with the theft was due back from leave today so hopefully they will get some progress there. We went out and posted another specific area of Hemsworth last night and posted some flyers through doors too. Then we went over to South Emsall which is quite close to Hemsworth and put posters up there as we have heard rumours that someone may have a puppy there !! Later on last night the puppies owner phoned me to say they had been out postering too and were delighted to see all the posters that we had put up for them. Everyone they approached to show a poster was already aware of the puppies because they had seen posters etc ! So thats very rewarding to know ! They asked me to thank TracyB and anyone else who has done postering that I am not aware of. As Tracy mentioned in her post the puppies appeared in the Yorkshire evening post last night and I have found the article on the web. It has a marvellous photo of the remaining puppy which is such a little poppet. I dont know how to put a link on here for you to see for yourselves but anyone that cares to Pm me with an email addy I can forward the link to you. Unless admin can put the link on here for me !! There will hopefully be more press coverage in local papers out tomorrow. Will update further tonight ! Pam xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Went over to see owner again this afternoon and left her some flyers and posters and she was hoping to get some photocopies done of them. Managed to get some posters up around Hemsworth centre including in both pet shops. We went back tonight to opposite side of town to where Tracy was postering and hit one particular area quite hard with posters and flyers. Then postered main road into town and left posters in kebab shops, working mens clubs and all the pubs in town centre. Unfortunately we had to head for home as we got caught in a thunderstorm and knew it was headed in the direction of our house and one of our dogs is terrified of them ! We will go back over tomorrow for some more postering after work and want to hit one area in particular quite hard with them ! Pam x Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Have done Ashfield Rd, playing field, bridlepath leading to back of farm, council depot on Moorshutt Road, bridlepath along bypass & lampposts leading back towards Hemsworth nr Farmshop this pm whilst walking dogs. Posters passed to local bus driver (ex policeman), local postie to pass onto van driver & take to main sorting office in Barnsley. Posters also for Farmshop on her way home. Jumanji doing other end of Hemsowrth tonight. If they are in this area we will flush the ****** out. If others could help regarding Radio Stations- I'm on way to work for 7.30am & phone's too busy to make the necessary calls & hold on. I have extra laminated posters & flyers if anyone wants them but cant access copier. Haven't done library at Hemsworth but could be done. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

How about contacting the Wakefield Express for them to do some kind of article about it - I'm sure they'd be interested and it would raise awareness. Also Ridings FM might do something too. All set for printing as soon as poster received at HQ. Have txt Pam & passed on message from Majorjet. I can ring Abbey Vets which have a few branches in sth yorks in morning. Will liase with Pam as I work on busy hire desk so limited to amount of phone calls I get done. Hopefully with been notified fairly quickly we can get these guys back pdq- they're not exactly a small breed that can be easily hidden & only a fool would be one of these in a pub with no papers. With these pups needing vaccinations, it would be a good call, to contact all vets and alert them, just in case anyone presents them for their jabs. Do the immediate area first, then step out in a radius. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

As I was on my way home from work I got a text from TracyB allerting me about these dogs. I have spoken to the owner and she has a problem about getting a photo through to doglost. So have said either Tracy or myself will call round tonight if needed and collect a photo and get it scanned and sent in on email tonight. Have just text Tracy to sort out which of us is going. I cant get there till probably 7.30 ish at least. The owner is contacting local papers, vets and pet shops.Once we get a photo on poster we will do some postering. Tracy lives nearer to owners than me so will discuss with her who posters where to get best coverage! Hopefully we can get some done tonight if we get photo sorted out ! Lets get these babies home soon xxxx PamLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

As soon as a picture is on site posters can be emailed out to helpers and they need to be put up in the area a.s.a.p. lamposts, entrances to parks, petshops, milkmen, binmen, taxi drivers, schools, youth clubs, takeaway shops, dog training clubs. Handout smaller posters to people, especially dog walkers and deliver to houses etc. Put A4 poster in car windows. Check Police stations and Dog Warden. RSPCA and rescue centres need checking regularly and preferably visited in person, by owner or someone who knows these pups. xxx Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Some puppy don't see vulnerable puppies that wouldn't have had all their puppy vaccination yet, only potential bundles of money. No-one could buy one of these dogs without papers in good faith, as they are expensive to buy and quite rare. Make the puppies as hot as possible, poster widely, ask your local radio for help and contact your local papers to place a lost add. Ask your local postman if s/he will help and send a poser to your local postal sorting office. Send/post posters to as many vets as possible, cover as wider area as you can. Also try and poster local pubs as dogs are sometimes sadly sold on there and can be a good source of information. Monitor www.epupz.co.uk, as it lists puppies for sale with and without kc papers, so could be used to sell the pups. Hope they are safely home very soonxxxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
