I've heard from the kennels that he has moved on to a foster home now. He is gaining weight but remains a very timid fella. I don't know which rescue he is going on to after his foster period though.
Bugtime
Yes it is the same dog this is the R.S.P.C.A pictures of him after he had been cleaned and fed. Still terribly thin but looking better than when he was found.

Great news. Lovely to hear he is slowly getting better.
Do you know which rescue he will be going to?
JulieH
That's great to hear :)

I saw him in the kennels yesterday. He had a little woollen coat on and came to see me wagging his tail. He's very thin and I was told that a rescue would be taking him to help him gain weight safely. The owners of the kennels are lovely people and he seemed happy. It's amazing how resilient dogs are - all they need is love, food and warmth - it's not much to ask for is it?Last edited: 2015-11-25 19:49:54 by greyhound23

He continues to improve and I believe that a dog rescue will be offering him a place once his 7 days are up to continue his recovery. Hopefully we will continue to get updates from the rescue.

I saw this poor boy posted today on the lurcher appreciation society facebook page. I live in the area where he was found and have been worrying about him all day. What will happen to him now the Carmarthen Dog Warden and RSPCA are involved? Please, if possible, can you keep us updated on his condition and situation. So thankful someone found him.
Ollie's Mum
Are there any updates on this poor poor boy?
Can't stop thinking about him.
Hoping that he can begin to improve and start a new life.

I still can not write what I think about the scumbags who let this dog get like this.Thank you for the update Bugtime I hope he improves over the next few days x
JulieH
Thanks for update Bugtime, please let us know how he goes on .Has he been given a name ? And I know its a long shot but could it possibly be Luke lost number 74373?Last edited: 2015-11-21 16:55:36 by JulieH

He is doing well, eating small but frequent meals, and has his own coat and blankie to keep him warm and make it easier for him to rest. The RSPCA are involved in his case now.
Ollie's Mum
Hopefully this poor boy is now in a foster home getting some much needed TLC
and not in a kennel as it's says he was referred to the Dog Warden from the vets.
Rosie
Words cannot describe how upsetting this is,poor boy. Same here Linda T and everyone who's posted - When animals are involved in such a horrendous situation at the hands of vile human scum it can suddenly turn you into a violent person! I so hope he makes a full recovery and has a loving home he so deserves.Positive vibes being sentLast edited: 2015-11-20 15:04:58 by Rosie

My God I would swing if I got my hands on whoever is responsible for this poor dog, I am ashamed on behalf of the human race, only SUB HUMANS could think this is acceptable GGGGRRRRRRR..... thank goodness somebody has helped this poor dog, I only hope he will pull through. I feel like punching the wall very hard and imagining it is the SUB HUMAN and I am a silver-haired mild- mannered lady over the age of 60 on a good day!!
JulieH
Lets hope he pulls through okay, and I totally agree with your comments Ollie's Mum, my saluki cross is fast asleep on the sofa ! thank goodness he was found before any severe weather.
Ollie's Mum
Poor poor boy. There are only 3 words to describe the person who allowed this to happen. EVIL EVIL EVIL.
Saluki crosses are the most gentle, loving, lazy and easy to look after dogs. Short walk, food and a settee to lie on was all my bridge boy Cyril wanted.
Hopefully this boy will recover and find a loving home.
Any updates on him today and where he is?
Jaycey
So, so sad. ..Thank goodness this poor youngster is now safe and being cared for. ..Hope he recovers fully and finds a loving forever home..xx

Bless him he needs lots of tlc, but they usually rally around ok..... this didnt happen over night there is no need for this sort of condition in any animal makes me so cross.....wishing him a wonderful new life if possible can we be kept updated? Thank you x
BlackLab
A long way from home, but could he be 88909 Larkspur?
Bugtime
He has been given food and looked at by a vet before he was referred to the Carmarthenshire dog warden. We were worried he had a leg injury which luckily was not the case.

Info on post:
"This poor dog was running in traffic near Ysgol Y Felin, Felinfoel.....he is in an appalling condition, emaciated and petrified 😢 He is now in the care of the vets"
So glad that this poor dog is in care of vets now. Such horrendous condition but at least in safe hands now.
