Tragic news...so, so sorry to hear Bentley and Kandy never made the safety of home.....at least they stayed together and were not alone.....they are now there by your side and they promise to stay in your hearts forever xx God bless your dear babies xx

That is interesting and encouraging that the train driver contacted Dog Lost. I recently tackled Network rail on their policy of animals on the tracks and was told what their policy was by a very friendly and helpful dog lover. I asked him if he had heard of Dog Lost - he hadn't and so I asked him to look at this web. He did and I then asked him if he was able to change the policy and contact Dog Lost if any dogs were found on the lines.

Thank you to the kind train driver who saw the dogs then looked on doglost and sent us an email so we could inform owners...at least they have closure...such sad news.

Rainbow Bridge

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.

There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.

There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

It is with the deepest regret to be moving both BENTLEY & KANDY over to Rainbow Bridge. Sadly the have been the victims of the railway lines and found together.

It has been a nail biting 24 hours since speaking to Martin yesterday morning after DogLost received an email from a train driver who reported seeing two dogs fitting BENTLEY & KANDY’s description on the rail tracks. This has been getting followed up and Martin has located where they are and will not be able to retrieve them until Friday.

This is such devastating news and obviously not the outcome anyone wants to get, only consolation is Martin and family now have closure and BENTLEY and KANDY will be laid to rest in on a friends land.

Martin, family and helpers have worked so hard to find BENTLEY and KANDY.

Deepest thoughts are with BENTLEY, KANDY and Martn and everyone who has helped over the past few weeks.

Run free together at the Bridge and sweet dreams BENTLEY and KANDY you will be deeply missed. Sending big heartfelt hugs to Martin and his family.

THANK YOU to ever so much to the Train Driver without your help Martin may not have been able to have closure and bring them back home where they belong. Also thank you to everyone who helped look out for BENTLEY and KANDY. xx

Have made contact with owner and the postcode should of been BB1 which I have updated it to. Bentley who is 2.5 years old has gone missing with KANDY a 7 year old black Labrador. There has been possible sightings yesterday (4.11.15) in Darwen, both still together. Owner has been doing a great job in his search and has contacted all the right authorities, kennels and also Rail Track. I will register KANDY on DogLost a.s.a.p. and do a share post for fb. Lots of share are already being done on fb which is great.

I live in the BB10 area of Burnley but we aren't anywhere near Wilpshire. It needs clarifying where Bentley's missing from as people may be looking in the wrong area and wasting valuable time
