I am so pleased to hear that Jake has given himself up this is the second story I have read with similar circumstances .The other dog came to its first foster carer too.They must build very strong bonds with people when they get to know them x

So pleased to be able to say we caught Jake this morning at CHadwell Springs Golf Club, after an early morning sighting. It's such tremendous news and very emotional. He came up to James who had fostered him before and has been an amazing help, as has Linda dog warden, and all the other helpers and sightings. Well done everyone, so happy he is now safe and sound, and looking in not too bad condition at all.

I had a drive round hertford heath earlier and b1000 road. Couldn't see anything. I know dog walkers that use presdale woods so have asked them to keep an eye out too. One said there was a poster there yesterday but not today so they thought maybe dog had been found. Told them he is still missing

Lady who saw him on A10 went home and put food out, he came to her around 1.30pm what a coincidence! She is lterally 500 yds from me! Cannot give address as she might not like it, but taken food around and asked her to do same again. I will BBQ tonight he may get smell. All food on my porch left overnight has gone, maybe its him. Wood Green are down searching Balls Park, and his previous fosterers have been down twice, but so far for everyone about an hours drive, but people being very helpful and kind. Fingers crossed tonights the night! Debbie

2 more sightings. One at Balls Park Hertford, and one at the adjoining campsite. I will go there shortly. I have been putting posters up in Hertford Heat and area of woods and also BP garage, McDonalds etc. Its difficult to get everywhere though as on my own.

Well done ShelleyD. Sterling effort! We didn't see many posters either. We're not local to the area so it's difficult for us to pop back with supplies. If anyone is in the area, could do with more round the industrial estate, streets and each of the entrances to the local parks and woodlands so that more of the dog walkers are aware. Fingers crossed for some sightings today.

Drove from stortford to Hertford via A120, all round main Hertford roundabout, all the side roads where jake went missing from, all way to gallows hill & back, then down to Mercedes garage & back, then down to great amwell roundabout & back, then down A10 southbound to Harlow slip then back northbound. I drove as slow as possible & pulled in wherever I could to take a good look round but sadly didn't spot jake.

I was going to go into Macdonalds & BP garage to see if anyone had seen him but it was late & they were already shut.

I didn't see any posters on my travels ,so would be good if more could be put up. Unfortunately I'm only in area visiting family & don't have a printer here so I can't do any myself, but getting word out is really important as this boy is definitely on borrowed time being so close to so many busy roads.

I am off back to East Sussex later today so don't think I will be able to help anymore, but will be keeping my fingers crossed Jake is found safe soon x

So sorry to hear that Jake is missing. My little dog came from Woodgreen. I will be at Van Hage Garden Centre in Ware tomorrow doing a charity collection, and will take some posters with me to hand out & also put up if possible. Hope you hear some good news soon and that he is home with you really soon.

Have you thought about emailing Haileybury? They are on half term until 1st November, but am quite sure there are alot of people still on site and working in the grounds. Maybe they could circulate an email to all the staff. I know alot of people walk their dogs in the woods there. Really hope Jake turns up very soon.

Had a phone call from a lady who saw him on the path going past Foxholes farm towards Hertford Heath. There are a lot of woods around Haileybury College and on the other side of the road if anyone lives around there please look out for him. Will go and put posters up at the college tomorrow

Saw him, but couldn't stop on a414 so have been to have a look in the woods behind jewsons on way home as he kind of headed that way think would either have gone on industrial estate or is on the wood path where the "Forrest" is that runs around foxholes estate if help you, Good luck xx

This is Jakes fosterer Debbie. I have just had call from police, he has been sighted on A414 between Mercedes garage and BP garage, Rush Green, Hertford. Officers and dog warden making their way there. I cannot leave at moment as I have grandaughter asleep, but have left out food and bedding.

He was apparently spotted last night (Thurs) around 6pm. He was crossing the road from Foxholes into Pinehurst Estate. It seems the sightings are taking place at night, maybe he is resting in the day. I have been out this morning putting up more posters in the area, as this sighting was from a lady who had seen the poster. Have left food and bedding in my porch which is accessible from the street. Fingers crossed!

I was informed tanned greyhound dog was running across golf course in Hertford. They thought it was my dog. Sorry this was yesterday morning. Hope you find him soon

I'm in the area taking my mum to Hertford hospital today, I will have a drive round to see if I can see him anywhere. Hope he has stayed away from the A10 x

He was spotted by two drivers on A10 last night around 8pm we think on carriageway between Ware and Stanstead Abbots – we spotted him earlier in day at Hertford Rugby Club and in surrounding fields.
