wow wonderful news. I have rosie a Romanian rescue I saw lost on doglost.co.uk last summer. after 3 wks of searching we found her, she bit her catcher 6 times but he hung on. when you have time do let us on doglost know how you got her back - any dog is difficult to catch but a terrified street dog from Romania is so full of fear its a miracle. I am soooooo pleased for her and all of you who spent so much time and effort looking. it pays off

LUCY LOST IN MORECAMBE

Can you spare half an hour?

We had another fantastic nights of sightings last night. We do still need more information before we can move to trapping. So we need to plaster the area with posters and get fliers into as many shops as possible.

Please join the working group if you have any time to offer. The sightings map is also in that group

Sorry to mention but has anyone contacted Network Rail. The area she went missing from is close to the main line.
Have there been any further sightings?
Don't do Facebook so not up to date with what is happening.

The Romanian word is Vino for come xxx
Pilot's mum
Just a thought.
I have had several dogs from Greece. When they come over they did not come to their names but would come to 'Ella' which is Greek for 'come'
Is there a Romanian equivalent which Lucy would come to?

the Romanian rescue we took in had been lostlike lucy the very day she arrived.3 weeks later Manchester dogs home phoned the original adopter. BE AWARE MDH HAD HER FOR 11 DAYS BEFORE THEY SCANNED HER........ so please do keep contacting all local dog places including MDH. Rosie was caught 25 miles from where lost - she still had harness on so her rescuer despite being bitten 6 times hung on to her. good luck and hope to see her in the blue soon
Bonnies' mum
Have e mailed a poster to Red Bank Farm and Archers cafe asking the to display it. Just around the corner from VVV on the shore.

Thanks helen1207 for the update and everyone for posting on LUCY's page.

I've added a mobile number now and updated the photo and grouped with a new photo of LUCY. Rooting for her to be back in her foster home soon.

Page may need to be refreshed to view photo.

We have been out tonight!..Posters are up and more will be up tomorrow. Posters in local shop and both pubs with everyone very aware of Lucy being missing and NOT to chase her just call the telephone number.
DogLostNina
Contacting schools and colleges are a good way of getting the word out, children notice everything.
Julie B
Ring and let all local taxi companies know she is missing. They have drivers out and about 24/7 and they may just see her on their travels - especially at night after dark when it is quiet.
Julie B
I cant believe there are no posters up. Are there people out searching for her? Poor little girl must be petrified. I hope to god that she is found safe and well soon.

Fourth day tomorrow lost and still no posters up

Updated the details last night and poster will show up better for printing.

POSTERS are the key to getting the SIGHTINGS and if there are mobile numbers which could be added it will really help in getting sightings reported quickly.

Will email info/advice to Jackie and Scenting Instructions but these are more to explain how she will be behaving and what to do if she is sighted.

So important lots of people do not visit the area and if see her shout her name. As long as she in a safe area away from roads she will fend for herself. It is going to take the very gentle approach and can take a while before she settles and feeding stations etc can be set up. Any land she is on it is important the land owner is contacted to alert them to her being in the area and permission is also given to go on the land.

People in the area are needed to watch and observe. Rooting for her to be back home soon with her new family.

Have shared on fb groups. Thank you to everyone who is sharing and helping to look out for LUCY it only takes that one share to be seen to help get them most important calls. x

I have emailed the local co-ordinator alerting her to your post and hopefully you will get a response soon but please remember we are all volunteers so she may not be available to respond immediately.
CarolH
Please can the doglost coordinator coordinating this search please phone me. It all seems very disjointed at the moment and with such a big area to cover we need someone on the ground able to have an overview and direct volunteers.

I am ill in bed, and this is over an hours drive away.
Hollieberry
This poor dog must be terrified of humans I do hope the right person can find her and gain her trust .x
CarolH
Please Please do not aproach - she will run. She is very traumatised, Has not been in the country a week and this was her second foster.

We need people to print and put up posters or go door to door.

Thank you to everyone helping.
Niz
Please we need volunteers to put up posters, this has not been done yet and has been two days

I can not believe i have just been told about this two days after the event, am back up for this dog. Have been told several posters put up in local area when there needs to be a big poster campaign and DO NOT CHASE just report sightings put on poster, this dog is very scared and people trying to catch her will chase her out of the area. How many posters have gone up and where, need to know all this information
DogLostJayne - Founder Doglost.
Sighted this morning near golf corse on Morecombe bay headed towards bbb gym at Hess bank....sighter called the dog warden who is in attendance and left message on owners phone...I have also emailed them. paws crossed...
Jackie
Hi Helen, yes I've been in touch with the dog warden and the microchip has been registered to me. xx
helen1207
Hi Jackie, hopefully there's a couple of us that can look later..I really hope she's found soon...I presume you've been In touch with the dog warden...xx
Jackie
Thanks everyone and thanks Helen for the information. Please search if you can. If you have a loop lead even though she won't like it it might be the only way of securing her. She was only at my house 2 minutes, the transporter was still there when she got through a reinforced hedge that my dogs have never got out of. I don't know how she did it. She hs had an awful life so far ndI really want her back and to learn that people can be nice. She is the sweetest, delicate looking dog you could ever wish to meet with a sweet pixie face. If you catch her please phone me or the dog warden on 01524 582757.Thanks for trying. Take a treat!

I have shared with Doglost FB group & Twitter. Hope Lucy is safely back at home soon. X

Just had a message on Facebook to say someone thinks she saw her tonight around the Elms hotel in Bare..they tried to catch her but couldn't...they saw a bowl and some biscuits on the floor...she thinks it was Landsdown road?..the conversation is on Pets and pet accessories for sale lancaster, Morecambe and surrounding area. A couple of us are willing to meet up and try searching for her.xx
helen1207
Have shared to my Facebook page and trying to put on the pet site I'm on as I'm in Carnforth.Hope she's found real soon!!.xx
mathers22
Shared on various facebook sites - have a Rommie Rescue of my own and I know how nervous they are. Hope Lucy is found safe soon x
Jackie
Thank you everyone. No news yet. If you see her she may come towards you if you offer her a treat. She will grab it and then run away. She was caught by dogcatchers in Romania and then put in an awful shelter so she will be very wary of anyone attempting to put a loop lead on her. I'm not giving up hope though. Thanks for sharing.
