Thank you lyndseycharlie. I think you'd probably best ask admin about this, but its really nice you are trying to do something for Gizmo. he is so sweet. I think now we have to assume he has been taken in by someone , and they may not bother with his hair, but if stolen and sold on, the unsuspecting owners may well take him to be groomed. Its definitely worth having a go. Also Gizmos owners may be prepared to do some postering on their side of the city for you, if you do some for them on your side. But just a thought. xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Well, it's in Belfast but I think its way over the other side. The post codes for groomers aren't in the yellow pages so they would need to be online to get them, maybe if I printed out a list via the internet I could post it to them or something? Or maybe one of the co-ordinators could do it as they are more official in case the owner does not want me to know their address. Don?t know, i'll do it if they can't. But he isn't like your average yorkie, a groomer would know the difference and be able to spot him, especially if the owner sent a letter with poster to state all distinguishing marks etc.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Lyndseycharlie, that was a good idea about contacting all the dog groomers in the area. Definitely. Unfortunately Gizmo's owners arn't on here. I wonder, if you are near them to get tthat message to them. Are your post codes any where near? Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Have just seen one suggestion which I feel is very good and really worthdoing and that is to print up some small leafletts and hand them out to the postmen. Postmen , (and I'm not being horrible, I think it's good for the neighbourhood) dont miss very much, and would normally know if there was a new dog on the block. Also put poster up at the sorting office. When we were searching for a dog in my area, the owner went to the sorting office and the bin men depot at about 5.00am in the morning and gave each and every postman and bin crew a small poster. By going at this time they managed to target every area as the men left the depots. They did get their dog back. Hope this helps. x Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Elaine, I hope your son can look at this on his friends computer, as you said he did sometimes. I want him to look at Poppy's page which has just gone blue !!!!! Little Yorkie was stolen from outside a shop, and she is back home after all this time. You must never give up, and keep the postering going. xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I did ring Elaine with a telephone number that marshend had found on the internet at beginning of week. ( A yorkie for sale in her area.) I left my contact details with Elaine but have had no response back. Can therefore only asume it wasn't him or the family didn't feel it was worth following up. xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Have spoken to the owner this afternoon and they are doing a really grand job postering everywhere and have been constantly searching the area with the help of all the neighbours. They have postered everywhere they can think of,including all the local shops. In fact everybody knows about Gizmo !!! They are very positive that we can find him. Elaine the owner, would like to thank Jayne and all of admin for all the effort that we are putting in for the safe return of her little dog. They have been able to see the page on a friends computer. She wanted to send a card to Jayne to thank her, but I suggested she wait until we find Gizmo. XXX Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Have emailed poster to animal shelters this morning. I think someone must have this tiny dog now, unless he's caught up, or tangled up somewhere. Hope all neighbours gardens have been searched etc. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I had a very nice reply from City of belfast Dog Training Club yesterday. They were very kind and have put GIZMO's details on their News page, with a link to the DogLost site. They have also included DogLost as a permanent addition to their Contacts/Links page too. Hopefully we will get lots of new helpers in that area that will be sooooo needed. xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
