Ron and I have decided to wait a few days before returning to golf course. If dog has owner by now he knows a couple of people are asking about his dog,he is probably avoiding that area. In case dog is stray at least a dozen dog walkers have our details for any further sightings

Searched adjoining forest land to golf course at chingford hatch. Went to 'sighted' location this evening. Spoke to another half dozen dog walkers,none had seen our 'lost' boy. Couple confirmed there are two ridge backs walked there,one is definitely a male. Left my details for any further sightings.

Myself and Ron searched for three hours in location of sighted dog. Spoke to loads of dog walkers; one gave the following info their are two ridge backs walked regularly in sighted location. One female Lola,one male name not known. They are owned by two different people. The male was seen yesterday in location at roughly same time as 'sighted' he also has red collar. This could mean 'sighted' has an owner and maybe elderly,unwell,or maybe got out yesterday and took himself for walk. Or there is a third ridge back sighted' in same location and chatty dog walker thought it was the one he sees regularly. We have updated Julie she is 'sighter' and she will keep looking for any loose ridge backs also myself and Ron will do a return visit to try to see dog with owner or other.

Message passed on from Shelagh - Area Volunteer, East London........latest info, Spoken to sighter , dog is a male Ridge Back in poor condition. Rear leg is causing him some trouble, could be hip dysplasia ? He is skinny and is wearing a dirty red web collar. Dog is friendly and made no attempt to run. No tags. Sighter had only had one lead so could not get him. Location is Sunset Avenue ...far end of Forest. Ron and Shelagh are out currently searching for him.

I am sure I have seen somewhere on here that someone has lost a dog somewhere, it isn't a Ridgeway but does have a ridge down it's back. I can't find it now, I don't know if it was on Dlost or facebook. Maybe someone may be able to help xx

If 'sighter' is reading this please could you let us know time dog was seen and direction headed towards. As Ron said I walked forest high ams park to golf course and back. Searched under bushes on golf course and passed word around. No further sightings

one side of the golf course is E4, the other side is IG8... been there this morning with Shelagh, nothing sighted

Probably not - Romford is rather a long way away. I live not all that far from Woodford Golf Club so will keep an eye out.

Woodford golf course is e4 alongside chingford lane. I will go now and search adjoining forest land opposite

Not 100% post code is correct as I did a search for Woodford Golf Club, but not sure if there is more than one? Please can we have helpers deal delicately with this - we cannot trample all over it, we need to be discreet, but we do need to help that dog! Do NOT chase! Thank you.

Please ensure that you notify your local Dog Warden and the local Police Station - in Scotland you MUST inform your local Police Station and if possible contact the Dog Warden also.
The found dog may have a Microchip or a Tattoo - please have the dog scanned and checked for a tattoo at a vet's so that owners may be contacted as soon as possible.
Please check on our Missing pages in case the Found dog has been registered as missing with us.
