- Possibly a bit harsh to make that judgement as it reads as though everybody is at fault no matter what! Sometimes a house can be broken into and the family pet has gone or even a house fire. We just never know any of us as to what is around the corner! RIP pup forever young

- I agree Mel..heartbreaking. It grates to read post after post when a dog has died saying "another victim of the road/railway" - they are a victim of not being kept secure and safe by the owner who was supposed to do that for them...simple as that. The death on the road or rail tracks was down to a lack of action by its owner. Drivers and train services aren't responsible for vulnerable dogs, their owners are. It isn't someones else's fault that they failed to avoid the dog, which always seems to be the message. So sad a dog loses its life being able to get loose out on its own like this.

- How do these youngsters or any dog for that matter, end up on their own on busy roads. Its heartbreaking, such a lonely sad end RIP x
