Our thoughts are with you and Daisy who if she is anything like the rescue we have re homed is probably curled up on a nice bed after a chicken breakfast .. remembering all the fun she has had!

It is so annoying that there is no central data base for all dogs in rescue nationwide which would make easier for owner's to find their loved ones... Thank God for Doglost.

We put a few posters up in the area earlier in the week and sadly no moe news since the sighting last Monday. We did speak to a fw dog owners in the area walking their dog and they all have Daisy on their mind as the poster at Reddish Vale Park near the area has kept them upto date, I am sure if one of these people were to see Daisy they would let us know. Fingers crossed we get news one day. Thanks Geoff.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thanks also to Jan for getting the smaller A5 flyers, which I am in process of printing as I type this. I have all my fingers and toes crossed that this could lead to some good news. Hav just spoken with owners, explained the full story of how i saw her, they are searching the area whenever they get spare time, they just want their Daisy back now. My little brothers girlfriend lives right near Grenada Park, she's only 14 and hangs around at the shops near Windmill Pub and Grenada Park with about 40-50 other mates, they are all helping with the search. xxxxxxxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

whats the local paper on this one please - is there an alternative to the MEN, which is impossible to get lost dogs in (especially when the whole gun crime thing has kicked off again?) Try to get posters in all the places people would take their kids for the summer holidays in the area - mcdonalds, pizza hut, those ball pit play things, toys r us etc etc. good luckxxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Would be great if the sighting was of missing Daisy. Agree that postering round the area where she was sighted, including mini A5 posters through the letterboxes of local houses, might prompt the finder/someone who knows the finder to call. Hurry home soon DaisyxxxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I check Daisy, Aces and B/Collies that are missing pages everyday hoping for good news. I have two B/Collies myself and they certainly manage to steal your heart some how. Daisy is such a beautiful girl. I feel for every dog owner out there that has lost their pet. I lost one of mine only for 2 hours but I was frantic and would come home until I found her I know only very little what all you owners are going through but had a small taste of it as I say. (not nice at all) Each and every person I so feel for you all. Collies though hold a special place in heart a bit bias I know but Daisy looks like she is collie cross but whatever I wish you good news very soon. Thanks again Janet, we still keep our eye out and get a few posters up. We have covered the area, usually handing forms out to people who walk dogs around the area. Sadly we have not heard anything for a few weeks now, positive or negative. If someone has taken her in we just hope she is being well looked after and loved just as much as we love her. We miss her greatly. But you never know one day we might be re-united with Daisy. We pray for it daily. Thanks again Janet.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Sadly no news Janet :o( We have not had a positive sighting of Daisy now for 12 days, I must admit we fear the worst now with the time scale covered. We did have a potential sighting in another district last Friday, but the person who reported it did not find our number until later in the evening, so if it was her she had moved on again. We still keep our fingers crossed even after all this time. The last confirmed sighting of Daisy now was last Weds, when she was seen limping in Thompson Close. Dane Bank. I keep driving up there every morning before work in the hope of catching sight of her and we still have a lot of people round there keeping an eye out for her. I know what you mean about getting involved Janet, thanks for keeping in touch, its good to know people out there are thinking of us. Hope Daisy just keeps safe and well for us and just pops up when we are driving round very soon.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thanks for your encouragement Janet, we are still trying our best despite having no luck. We spoke to the person who spotted her last Tuesday in person at the Reddish Vale Visitors park on Saturday morning. He said she looked as though she was limping on both back legs, but we are remaining positive, as she was still strong enough to run away from him. She was then spotted again last Thursday and Friday limping up Thompson Close in Dane Bank the dog warden was there within 15 mins, but again sady no luck, we just wish she would give herself up before she becomes too poorly. Fingers crossed here.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Many thanks for the number Nik, have informed them. The railway embankment that she was spotted on yesterday morning is luckily a diesel train only line, which only had goods trains travelling on it through the night. There are many holes in the fence along the route, including even an open gate in Reddish Vale Park. I was out there this morning looking again, but no luck. I have the same lady who could not catch her yesterday looking today, she is going to carry a spare lead to catch her in case. We also have a builder who has been incrediably helpful, who is working on a bungalow that looks down the rail track, he is going to keep looking up the track as there is a perfect view from there. We just wish she would come out for long enough to be caught, she seems to disappear for days then re-appear, though she seems to stick now in Reddish Vale / Dane Bank at least. fingers crossed, keeping the posters up and my parents and brother will be back out there today to look again.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Spotted again, this time limping in the grounds of Reddish Vale School, North Reddish, went out 30 minutes after we got the call, but again no sightings. She was spotted at 8.45am walking along the railway embankment next to North Reddish train line, just over the bridge past Reddish Vale Primary School, fingers crossed we will have more luck this afternoon when I get back up there on my bike.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

To update you all, sadly still we are looking for Daisy. It seems the call on Weds last week was a well intended red-herring, Daisy has however been spotted again - minus the red collar in the Dane Bank area last Weds, a day after we recieved the call about rhe dog with the red collar! We still have all our fingers and toes crossed, keep popping up and trying to keep the posters up even when they are ripped down from the local park. She was last spotted officially walking down Dane Bank Road in Dane bank at 7.30pm last weds, also earlier that day outside the Church around 3.30. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Out of the blue received a phone call this morning from someone in the Dane Bank Area of Denton at 7am, saying they saw our dog walking Mill Lane last night at 5.30, he attempted to catch her, but she would not approch him. She now is wearing a red collar, so we assume a local has taken her in? Out there again this afternoon getting posters up on every lappost we can find.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thanks Jayne and Angelita, will try the radio and add those numbers to our daily phone up list. Went to MCR rogs home yesterday but not there sadly. We keep getting sightings of her in Denton from the people that we speak to, but they are not 100% sure she is the same dog. Does anyone know if a dog going missing like this tends to run then settle in an area, or would she keep on walking forever so tp speak? Many thanks again everyone, back out to Denton now with fingers crossed for that lucky breakLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

It seems 100% certain that she was there all day on Tuesday, regretably she moved on just as the dog wardern turned up accoring to the locals I sooke to today. Going back out tommorrow looking into areas surrounding Denton that she may have moved into. Her last location was close to Hyde Road and the Golf Course opposite, will just keep on going! Thanks again everyoneLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi all, had some positive feedback last night from an advert in the local newspaper, a lady spotted her in Denton. There have also been two confirmed sightings of her around Granada Park in Denton, one yesterday afternoon, she was also hanging around the butchers shop, just up the road from the Dane Bank Pub. Thanks again to everyone for their help.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Could you be more specific about where Daisy was last seen so I can have I drive round and help look - especially where the parks are which she might be heading for? Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Posters need to be put up in the area a.s.a.p. lamposts, entrances to parks, vets, petshops, ask postie, milkmen, binmen (even put poster on bins), schools, deliver to houses etc. Handout smaller posters to people, especially dog walkers. Put A4 poster in car windows. RSPCA and rescue centres need checking regularly and preferably visited in person, by owner or someone who knows Daisy. xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
