I have just found the post that has been shared by someone that includes Ricky's microchip number. I have msgd him to ask him to remove it for security reasons. Last edited: 2015-06-12 16:21:55 by Clarkey - Area Co-ordinator, East Sussex
DogLostShelties Mum - Area Volunteer, Kent
Everything's crossed he doesn't move on. A busy area at Eurotennel and approach roads. It is a softly approcah and even better if you sit on the ground to try and coax him with treats. Sounds as if there's some good help in place over there.
DogLostCJ - Police Liaison & SE Regional Coordinator
There has been afew sightings but as soon as get there he is gone. I have already emailed about triangle mapping and suggested scenting with pilchards in old tights dragged along the ground to keep him in one area. Not to approach suddenly better to throw food wait see if he comes towards and keep throwing food till gets near. Also to have slip leads ay the ready
Esther
Fingers and paws crossed
Shelagh
Good luck guys hope you get him
DogLostJayne - Founder Doglost.
Paws crossed here...

Just seen that too! Sounds like they have a good chance of catching him. Got everything crossed for him and them.
sheltielover
Debbie's Facebook post just now. Just had a call from a lady at the euro tunnel offices saying that Ricky is quite happily wandering around Emilio and gang are on their way!! Keep your fingers crossed everyone - Emilio is there now with the other dogs

Info from breeder-Ricky is 12 months old

Good idea Skywalker. I sent them a message with a link to the french alert page

Are Citie Europe (the shopping centre next to the Tunnel aware)? Rubbish would be a food source for him?
WILDCARD
I live in France too but not in this area. I have shared with my French contacts and on FB French animal pages and will keep sharing every day for you. I truly hope you find him and quickly bless him he will be scared. Prayers for him too.

Hello! I'm French. I have just sent the alert to all my contacts in France, some of which have contacts amongst the custom services in Calais.

Also, I've checked the french alert page and it says that Ricky is NOT chipped. I'll send a message for them to change the information. EDIT: I've just noticed, it's already been noted in the comments on the page.

If you need anything, don't hesitate to ask.Last edited: 2015-06-12 08:42:05 by Stephanie D.

The post with the chip number is on pet alert 62, post by a robert tapson
DogLostCJ - Police Liaison & SE Regional Coordinator
Message on french site (Far too long to put here but basically giving phone number email for found lost dogs. stating they are kept for 8 days. Then giving local advice on areas to search and poster saying not everyone has internet so get posters out. Giving extensive ideas where to go etc
DogLostCJ - Police Liaison & SE Regional Coordinator
Rickey is microchipped and if a sheltie is found ( cant think wuld be many running loose in the area) then petlog have relevant contact details. I have asked for exact age awaiting reply but in meantime young adult ( as listed) is under 2 years of age.
A friend travelling is searching area with his own sheltie and both dogs knew each other well.
Breeder whose number is on site is the best contact as she is gathering all information and in contact with searchers in France
Clarkey - Area Co-ordinator, East Sussex
I'm sure CJ or someone will answer your questions in the morning Wendy Godber. Last seen at BonJour Service Station just over from arrivals .. this is the link to his French alert page http://www.chien-perdu.org/128058
Someone has posted some advice on there. Google translation "Although it is an English chip phone still has the Kennel Club in France, we never know if a person's report; good luck.
Quickly tell Canine Power Plant 0810 778 778 and have at the same time verify your details. If it is not identified quickly going SEE ON SITE at the pound and even spa if you called them"Last edited: 2015-06-12 03:13:23 by Clarkey - Area Co-ordinator, East Sussex

I have shared on pet Alert 59! I only have the info shared on here to hand, but they are asking for more info, not specific microchip numbers but what would help them with their search! Pls can someone give more info to help this dog be found and safe again. Wx
Clarkey - Area Co-ordinator, East Sussex
skywalker99: Which Pet Alert page have you seen this on please?
I have only posted on Pet Alert Pas-de-Calais 62 and I have looked to see if the microchip number has been put on the post. The only numbers I can see are that of the owner Emilio and Debbie. Someone has asked for the number to be added but it has not been as far as I can see.
As CJ says the microchip number remains confidential on all Doglost pages and no-one would/should pass that info on.
Pet Alert Pas-de-Calais 62 have asked for more details and I have suggested that they ask on this page so their questions can be answered by owners or CJ.

One of the people who has xposted Ricky's details to pet alert has put his chip number in the posts/comments. They need to remove it

It is the first service station on the left hand side of the road after leaving the tunnel in France - on all Debbie's Facebook messages - she is now in France after leaving the tunnel 1hr ago.

I have asked re pinpointing the 'service station' - there are a few fuel stations just want to clarify for anyone who maybe travelling and has seen the fb posts
DogLostJayne - Founder Doglost.
Thanks ladies! you are all doing an amazing job!
DogLostCJ - Police Liaison & SE Regional Coordinator
i saw that and already messaged them that it is incorrect and he is chipped. i told them registered details with petlogUK so if found they have contact details. I did not supple the number as i cannot see that it is masked ( like it is on doglost) only admin and registered person who puts on site can see it.
Unknown
He has already been xposted there several times but reading the comments they want someone to email them, also the person who xposted his chip number needs to take it off for security reasons. There is also a Sangatte bleriot-plage facebook group, someone should add him there as tunnel v close to Sangatte.
sheltielover
Is it possible for someone to add him to Pets Alert France Calais area - I have been trying to do so all afternoon and not been successful.
Aimees mum
I missed that CJ! I've just taken a look at his page as it says he isn't microchipped (une puce électronique is French for microchip) but he wouldn't have got through customs without a chip. It may also be worth adding him to this site http://www.leboncoin.fr/annonces/offres/nord_pas_de_calais/?f=a&th=1&q=chien (the French equivalent of Gum Tree)
PAW
I have found a map of service stations around Calais - are you able to pinpoint the one https://www.google.co.uk/maps/search/service+stations+near+Calais,+France/@50.9501552,1.8013215,12z

unregistered chip with petlog. Its comes from Irish kennel club. I have left details so that they now have on record the breed name sex breeders mobile where and how lost so that if picked up and they are contacted they can at least have something.Owner is Spanish living in Ireland so its quite a complicated case!
DogLostCJ - Police Liaison & SE Regional Coordinator
Have exact location where lost as was at a service station.I will be getting contact number for another sheltie owner who is there helping searching. Awaiting his contact details plus microchip number to update.
DogLostCJ - Police Liaison & SE Regional Coordinator
phone number is breeder but if we are using this for contact from France need to add +44 but the site will not allow a + in that box!
DogLostCJ - Police Liaison & SE Regional Coordinator
I have spoken to the breeder who put dog on site. Dog and transporter is on way to Milan. they stopped other side of tunnel to let dog have a wee and he bolted. there are some friends there with another dog known to Rickey who are searching with this dog hoping he picks up a familiar smell. Owner of Rickey is catching a flight to get over ASAP.
