- Other Info Maddy was with her dog walker going along the canal from Westbourne Park. At some point she disappeared. He rushed back to look but she was absolutely nowhere to be seen. We have searched for hours along the route but still have had no luck. She is 10 years old but still energetic and very friendly. We are absolutely devastated, it is hard to imagine life without lovely Maddy. Thank you all for your help.

- From Battersea dogs and cats home: I am delighted to tell you that Maddy 88013, reported lost on 10th June last year ended up in our care yesterday and with thanks to the dog warden, Maddy is now back home with her delighted owner! The power of the microchip!

- Thank you charlie and sooty for your very kind offer of help. Sincere apologies but i dont know if any of your helpful suggestions were ever taken up. I can only assume that they were to sadly no avail. If Maddy had been taken to Mayhew then she would have been checked thoroughly for a chip.Last edited: 2015-09-02 21:06:50 by ClaireC

- Has owner/dog walker spoken with the people who have boats moored along the canal. Has owner contacted Mayhew Animal Home (which is near), Sainsbury Ladbrook Grove, Canoe Club (if still there) and small industrial Estate near Sainsbury? Do they need any help to look, as I maybe able to meet up with them on Sunday (9th) afternoon? Last edited: 2015-08-07 18:55:20 by charlie and sooty

- Any news or sightings on Maddy?

- No Skywalker99 I don't think that at all! The lady I spoke to today was still very upset and yes they are continuing to look, along with the dog walker everyday. I've just given them another couple of options to follow.

- Does that mean that despite being 'devastated' owner has not done very much to find her? Or followed any advice given?
- 2015-06-29 14:49 ClaireC
- I have just made contact and have suggested that the owner does make contact with the local Dog Warden for this area just in case Maddy has been found. I have also suggested that they continually check along the canal towpath and also try to make contact with the local authority who are responsible for this particular part of the canal just in case she had been found.Last edited: 2015-06-29 14:50:37 by ClaireC

- Any news?

- Whats wrong with these Dog Walkers? hope she is found soon have you called the Dog Warden?
- 2015-06-12 18:31 ClaireC
- Keep searching along the canal route as she will possibly be thirsty because of the heat. She may also have laid down in the bushes and certainly worth checking along the route that was taken if she hasn't been found and taken in to BDH. How old is she please and does she have difficulty walking and if that is the case then I doubt that she will be far away from where she was last seen.. Good luck. xLast edited: 2015-06-12 18:34:51 by ClaireC

- yes South East, sorry I made lots of mistakes on this as I was in such a panic earlier! She was actually lost by her dog walker really near Westbourne park tube station, as she was being taken for a walk West along the canal towards Ladbroke Grove (not Hyde park as I first thought, got wrong info earlier...)
