Wow! I have just had a lovely message from Lygia:
"I just wanted to say that Sam returned home on his own this afternoon and is hungry and thirsty but ok. I'm so grateful for your help, advice and support and can't thank you enough. Best wishes Lygia"

What a clever lad Sam is to stay safe for 3 days and then to make his way home! Pretty good for such a little guy!
Well done Sam and Lygia for not giving up. Welcome home Sam .. stay safe now.

I have just spoken to Lygia moody's mother on the telephone and have already given the advise re bedding and have forwarded the Doglost advice emails to her too.
I was pleased to hear that the family have already put posters up in the area and alerted the Dog Wardens, Police and vets etc in the area. Well done.

Sam lives quite close to where he was lost so it's also possible that he will make his way home. The family have made sure that he can get back in if he does this. As they have been searching for several hours I have also explained that Sam may well follow their scent back home .. although it may not be until last light or first light when things are quieter.
Best of luck with your search.

leave something with your/his scent on where he went missing, and try www.k9tracker.co.uk

So sorry to see Sam has gone missing. Most dogs will come back to the place where they were lost so I would suggest you keep checking there.
I am sending you our Doglost advice in an email which should help you find Sam.
I have asked Brighton Dogwatch on Fbk to add him to their page. I have shared to Doglost East Sussex, Doglost South East and my pages.
Best of luck with your search.
