I often wondered what had happened to Delphine. The ending she so deserved :)

This is heartbreaking. How can anyone be so cruel. She looks lovely. She must have so frightened just being left there. She will find a home and be loved and cherished, bless her. Sending her healing too.
Esther
Good luck little one

This is absolutely awful How someone can abandon a blind anima; like this defeats me. You whoever you are abandoned this poor girl when she needed you most. Hope you have`nt got any blind relatives in the family (As I have) you would probably abandon them Am sure she will soon get a great new home where she will be truly loved, and adored, unlike the scum who abandoned her. Sending her lots of love, and many, many ((((((HUGS)))))) Off to find some tkissues now. Keep us postedxLast edited: 2015-08-20 14:06:15

More info about Delphine can also be seen on Leybourne Animal Centre website, on their rehome a pet section.

Just seen an RSPCA video on Murphy's Army facebook page that they are now looking for a special home for this beautiful dog, now called Delphine. She has had surgery on her eyes but unfortunately it hasn't restored her sight. Anyone interested should contact Leybourne Animal Centre on 0300 1230 751.
ClaireC
So pleased that she is safe and doing well. My dog had diabetic cateracts and although he only had one eye operated on he did regain a bit of sight in it.
susieq666
Lovely to see her doing well. Hope they can restore some of her sight.

A lovely video, well done to her rescuers.

Than you folr the last three comments about catatacts in animals. I didn`t realize how expensive these ops are. as well as painful.
Kit'sMum
I'm not a vet, but get the impression that prices for cataract surgery are much more competitive these days, and that there are different prices depending on the type of cataract. I hope this little dog gets the best of the best in all senses for the rest of her life and that the person who left her is severely punished. I know animal welfare is being discussed in schools in the States now, and believe it should be on the curriculum in every single school everywhere because I believe education is the only way of stopping animal cruelty.
ClaireC
Yes cataracts can be operated on but it is a very painful op for a dog. The aftercare can be painful for them as well. My dog had cataracts as a result of diabetes. I only ever had one eye operated on for that reason. Cost of operation 15 yrs ago was in excess of £10,000 at RVC.

I agree with janejewel and yes dogs can have cataract ops although very expensive.
Unknown
I believe that Delphine as she has been named is about 5 to 7 years old, but also had matted fur. It also says that she has cataracts, which has almost made her blind. I wonder if cataracts in dogs can be removed? Said she was a bit nervous at first. I think the scum who had abandoned her should get a life ban on keeping any animal. Personally I would put them in prison, and then throw away the key. Hopefully they will be caught, and if so should be named, and shamed. Sending Delphine absent healing, and lots of loved, and cuddles(((((HUG)))))XXXXLast edited: 2015-05-20 18:03:57

I am in too if a donation will help.....sitting here with my dog curled up on my lap I cannot imagine how people sink so low...bless her 🐶
Unknown
Am willing to donate too if it will help her eyuesight. I agree with all the other comments. What I would like to call the low life who abandoned her it wouldn`t be printable. She will soon find a new home when the rspca have investigated further, as she will get the sympathy vote.
susieq666
Poor little girl. Are vets able to do anything about her eyesight, do you know? Willing to donate for vets fees, if so.
Wonderous
How could anyone be so heartless, she obviously wasn't loved. Lets hope she find love and happiness very soon.
HappyHerts
The look on her little face breaks my heart - she is waiting so patiently. Happier times lay ahead for this lovely girl.

Shared. I have no words suitable for a public site to describe the people behind this.

Aw poor dear. So SCAREY for her. My heart goes out to her. Keep us updated on what happens. I live Penzance so will do some investigating.
ClaireC
Thank goodness this girl was found before real physical harm was done. I am sure there will be a queue of people wanting to give her a loving and forever home. Hope the rspca are successful in finding the owner responsible for abandoning her and that they see justice served.
Unknown
PS Hope her ears have been sorted, and she feels better
Unknown
This is awful. Whoever abandoned this dog is a low life. I hope the person responsible for abandoning this poor dog is found, and is charged with cruelty. At least she is safe, and I am certain that someone will given her a loving genunie caring home. Sending her lots of love, and cuddles. Keep us posted.
