If workmen did have her and not handed in, this is a crime of theft. Police should be alerted. Very sad. Hopefully she is safe in a good home somewhere now, but do we know what workman these were? It still may be possible to track them down if wee have details of the work they were doing etc.

bailey is a King Charles cavalier crossed with a black lab! I've contacted all vets, council, dog warden and RSPCA with no joy x

Mum may have been a Cav but I think dad was a labrador!
I've shared on FB. I suggest the owners get in touch with the Highways Authority and local council to find out who was working in the road just there. I think this pup might be 'safe' at home with someone's kids!

I am sorry but this does NOT look like either a Cavalierm KC spaniel or a King Charles spaniel to me . Hope she goets home safe though.

• Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
