Hi Jo, I'm glad to seen that you have a sighting that could be Sam.
I have emailed our Doglost advice with details which I hope will help you with your search. All of the methods have been tried and tested and are often successful.
Remember to put lots of posters up everywhere, but especially where the sighting
has been so that anyone else who saw him will get in touch with you.
Please keep the page updated of any other sightings.
Good luck with your search.

Finally, a possible sighting of Sam in the Sandford area of Godshill - approx 1/2 mile from home.apparently running like scared. I am optimistic that this could be Sam, but am concerned that he would be very traumitised after being missing for 18 days, has anybody any suggestions of good tips or ideas to help locate him? Any advice gratefully recieved.

Go back to where you last saw him. He will go back to where he last saw you. Ask farmer to look out for him.

There have been lots of tips on this site regarding JRT's stuck down rabbit holes. Using a hose and funnel (as earpiece) to listen for sounds, etc. Also, calling him through it, as sound travels a long way undereground. Seems like he could well have chased it down into its hole.
