I've seen lovely Benny on Oldies Club Website too, such a sad story and such a lovely dog. Good luck sweet Benny there's a lovely home out there somewhere.

Benny is a 12 year old Lurcher, neutered &
microchipped.

He is an extremely nervous dog. He was
rescued at 3 years old from a terrible home.
He was fostered for a few months where he
learned to live in a normal home environment.
He had never lived indoors before, so didn’t
know what stairs were, or a vacuum cleaner or TV, etc.

He then found the most perfect home
which is where he lived happily, up
until his owners passed away
recently. Although Benny had a
wonderful life with his companion
Jade and their lovely owners, they
didn’t see many other people or dogs,
which has meant that Benny is very unsure of new people and
lacks in socialisation with other dogs.
Due to his nervousness,
Benny requires a very experienced owner, ideally someone who
has had nervous dogs before, and someone who understands his
needs. He will need an owner who will be extremely patient and
gentle with him in a quiet and calm new home.
He is a lovely boy who’s desperate to find someone
to love him & take care of him.

Due to the stress of losing his owners, and
sadly now having to find another new home,
it is extremely important that Benny now
finds a home with no other animals, as we
now know that this wouldn’t be right for
him.
If you think you could offer Benny the home
he needs, please only contact if you have
NO OTHER PETS, NO CHILDREN AND ARE
AT HOME FOR MOST OF THE TIME.
Due to Benny’s nervousness and lack of
socialisation around other dogs, he will need
a very experienced owner who is willing to
put in the time and effort to help him

Thank you for taking the time to list this found dog and ensuring the safety of the dog.
Please ensure that you notify your local Dog Warden and the local Police Station - in Scotland you MUST inform your local Police Station and if possible contact the Dog Warden also.
The found dog may have a Microchip or a Tattoo - please have the dog scanned and checked for a tattoo at a vet's so that owners may be contacted as soon as possible.
Please check on our Missing pages in case the Found dog has been registered as missing with us.
