Why would an owner give one piece of information to doglost and another entirely different story to petsearch?. I spoke to the owner myself when she reported the dog missing and again when she phoned to say he'd returned home himself sore and tired and needing vet treatment. They only live about half a mile from me so there is some strange conflicting information from someone somewhere.

Information came direct from owners via a text on the Monday after he went missing.
Often owners are just pleased to get their dog back and sometimes do not want too much information public.

Ellie, do you know where you got your information from as I've just had Jasper's owner on the phone (they only live down the road from me) to say that he returned YESTERDAY sore and tired and has had to go to the vets for a check up and injection but they think he's going to be OK (far from warm and well fed!!). The owner thinks he followed next doors bitch who is in season whilst out for her late night walk and got lost.
