Beethoven my thoughts too!

I have personally dealt with B & D council in the past and have found the dog warden to be very helpful.
I am pretty sure that she would have done everything in her power to reunite any dog lost/found with the correct owner.
It looks like two different dogs to me, Rach lost her dog in June 2013 but the dog the warden has listed wasnt handed in to B & D until November 2014?.

Rach, Sadly Jennifer is completely right and unfortunately if this was Maisie there is nothing you can do. Just be happy in the fact that she got a new home and is warm and loved.
Dog WardenJennifer
Dear Rach,
I regret to say that you are mistaken.
All reports made to Barking and Dagenham Council for found dogs and lost dogs are being recorded and logged.
You claimed your dog Maisie went missing in June 2013 (Dog Lost ID 53343)
I have checked our records and can confirm that we have had no dogs handed in matching the description of your dog in May 2013 or June 2013.
Therefore it would have been impossible for me to contact you in regards to a dog that I did not have, that was not in Barking and Dagenham Kennels or in council possession at any time within the period of May 2013 and June 2013.
Please note that your dog lost report ID 53343 made in June 2013, clearly state that the dog is microchip.
The dog which was handed to Barking and Dagenham Council over 16 months later November 2014, was a yorkie but had no microchip (Dog Lost ID 79104), therefore would not have been matched to a dog that is indeed microchip.
Please note that after your call yesterday, I have checked our records, and can confirm that no owner came forward for this dog.
When we get a stray dog, we must check our records for the past 30 days. I can also confirmed that this was checked several times, and from May 2014 up to November 2014, there was no match for this dog or no reports made with the details you provided.
Also, when a dog has not been claimed after 7 days, the dog becomes Council possession, therefore the Council will not need to have permission to rehome a stray dog. Again this dog had no microchip, no tag, no collar and no one came forward to Barking and Dagenham Council for this dog.
Therefore I regret to say, that the only information I am able to give is that the dog logged under ID 79104 has been placed for rehoming 14 months ago.

Owner of Maisie lost 2013 emailed yesterday and I passed onto Kimmybear to reply to and look into. Its a long time since the dog went missing.

Think this should be under lost. I think you are saying your dog went missing, you told everyone, and had a call from the dogwatden saying she had been handed in. You went to collect her to be told no dog matching her description had been handed in. Then you discovered that she seems to have been rehiomed by the council in November 2014 and you would like some help getting her back? You need to ring doglost on the helpline number to make sure they are aware, they don't have time to read every post here.
Rach
