please if any one has aquired a west highland bitch in the last year, please take her to the vets and check her micro chip. daisy is slightly bow legged on her front legs. she first went missing from manchester 23. picked up and reported to be the missing penny from keighly which was a total mistake. apparently she ran off from a stable yard in keighly and has never been seen again. some one must know of the stables and remembers a mrs garratt who had been reunited with her missing west highland white terrier bitch penny but as dna tests proved it was daisy. may be you were given a westie bitch or you bought one please get her checked. we miss her. thanks sue Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

somebody out there has daisy and you probably know it. please give her back, you may have purchased her from a riding stables in keighly or she may have been given to you. You might know of freinds who have her. she could be with people who are involved with horses. it has been a year on the 25th august since daisy went missing from manchester. she was mistaken for penny who went missing from yorkshire. pennys owners took daisy back to yorkshire, but apparently daisy ran off before dna results came back to me as being positive, as i have daisy's mother with me. tel no 01208832305 or 07856605377 reward waiting for her safe return. you might know the riding stables who had two westies stolen last july, then said they had found penny their youngest westie, it was not penny it was daisy from manchester. how can anyone make the mistake of not knowing your oun dog, thats why i question daisy disappearance so many times in my head, because you would look so stupid. get my drift. Thank you for all of your messages. most of you think the same as i have all along. I am sure daisy did not run off things don't seem quite right. And i hope SHEENA from the MISSING PETS BUREAU reads all of these messages because if she had not been so stupid as to have shipped the dog up to yorkshire when daisy was found 100 yards from her own house in manchester. When this first happened i did report it to the police and infact they really were not interested, i have visited them on three occasions but with no affect. The only people who have really helped me are jayne and diamond. Thank you so much to all the helpers please keep your eyes open. REWARD AWAITS SAFE RETURN OF DAISY I AM NOT GIVING UP. No the lady that claimed this girl was hers immediately had her micrchipped. This was probably done so she could say this dog was hers.Luckily because sue has daisys mum the dna came back that this dog was infact daisy and not penny and then sue made this woman put the chip in her name, then this girl dissappeared. It just makes you so angry.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thanks for further explanation - I was under the impression that Daisy was microchipped when she originally went missing so had now been done twice!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

daisy was picked up just very near to where she lived but then finder was told that there was 2 westies missing from keighley and when the lady from keighley was contacted she confirmed that daisy was hers and took her to keighley.Daisy owners realised that this lady had her girl and paid for dna as they have daisys mum.Once confirmed that this girl was in fact daisy and not penny daisys owner demanded the chip to be changed to her details as this woman from keighley immediately had this westie chipped into her name. The microchip is now in daisys proper owners details. This woman must of known that this girl was not hers. When you have a pet there is always something you spot that that insures this pet is yours.Once this lady knew that this dog was not hers the westie all of a sudden dissappeared into thin air. There has been no sightings or anything since, but this lady definately had daisy as her proper owners went to this ladies house and saw daisy in there. This is just so tragic for daisys owners and sue&family are distraught as you can imagine. If there is any publicity or anything else that could be done sue&family would be so grateful. It is very difficult for them at the moment as they are living in a caravan with the children until there house is ready. Also they have no phone line only sues mum and sues mobile and only sues mums internet access. Please help them.Thank youLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Just two questions - were the two WHW's on found pages on 22/01 and 14/03 investigated, and is it known that Penny's owner does not still have Daisy? Would it be possible for a newspaper appeal to be made for anyone who has acquired a female, adult WHW since November to have it checked for a microchip (accompanied by a story of the heartbreak being caused) and with the enticement of a reward. I feel sure that anyone decent would respond to that in a positive way. Does Daisy now have two microchips?Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

It was very strange. The lady who got daisy even had publicity in her local paper saying that she had got 1 of her 2 westies back.I know a lady that knows this lady from keighley and as soon as this girl was proven to be daisy and not penny she all of a sudden went missing. This lady never advertised the fact that her dog was missing. There was also quite a big age gap between penny&daisy. Please if anyone knows of someone around this area who accuired a girl westie last year please get in touch.ThanksLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

After spaeaking to daisys owners yesterday can i just say a big thank you to jayne for kindly putting daisy back on front page.Daisys owners are now living in devon but occasionally come back to the keighley area to see if there are any sightings of daisy. The microchip has since been changed to daisys proper owners .If anyone can help in the keighley area or know of daisys whereabouts sue (daisys proper owner) can be contacted on her mums number which is 01208832305.Please if anyone can help with postering and looking out.Someone somewhere has got daisy.Sue has also got daisys mum who is also missing her.Sue & family are just desperate for her return and sues children are also desperately wanting her home.Thank you.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

A little confused about the whole issue regarding Penny/daisy, i have been off line for a while. Don't know what's going on with this precious little girl, hope she is found soon and returned to her rightful owners soon. Stay safe petal wherever you may be? xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

This is terrible! If this woman from Keighley claims Daisy/Penny has gone missing is she actively doing something to find her? If not then something doesn't quite fit I think! If my boxer went missing I would try move heaven and earth to find her just like Daisy's owners are doing. Good Luck Sue and Tim and I agree another nudge in the Yorkshire Post's direction is needed. What about the Keighley news - I think it's a weekly paper www.keighleynews.co.uk tel 01535 606611. Stay safe Daisy poppet!! Love Tracy x x Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

OMG what a nightmare!! Where abouts in Manchester did she go missing from? I'm not sure how close my contacts in Yorskshire are to Keighley but it will be worth a try. I'll send emails to vets, dog training places along with Russell's and Tilly's. What have the police made of all this? The fact that some strange woman has taken your dog and now states she's gone missing again? It's a bit convenient isn't it? Or am I just being cynical? Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

It amazes me that the lady who had daisy can send you the micro chip now and then says daisy has gone missing. If she knew that this was not her dog why bloody well take it in the first place and keep it.It is not a possesion but someones beloved pet.And this case it is daisy and not penny.I am so sorry i feel so angry and i also feel so sorry for daisys owners. They are going through a nightmare. Please if anyone knows the whereabouts of daisy please i beg you to ring her owners. This would be a wonderful xmas then for her family.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Okay Owners of Peeny say that if it can be proved beyond doubt they would have and will hand her over. However they say they do not know where she is as she disappeared on the 28th September before the results of the DNA came through-this was reported to their local police station. The DNA certificate states it is highly likely that This dog is Daisy but they need to DNA test the sire as well to be sure. So at the moment it looks as though we will have to locate Daisy/Penny first and then ascertain ownership.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

defur dog I agree with you. do not be intimitated by them either. you must pester, I do find it a little hard to believe that she suddenly now has gone missing, this is only my opinion, which I should keep to myself, but I can not. wished I was a little closer I would love to get MY teeth into this one. all local helpers go get her!!!! xxx Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

When the photo is up and the mailing is done- it will go right to the computer of Penny's owners-we have to take a step back and think of the consequences of this- also the reliability of DNA-I suggest that the DNA is tested again by the ONLY company who do it in the UK in 3 days-DNA TAB-who are Cambridge university based-I am sure they will do it free of charge due to the obviously need to know factor. I will ring owners.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

If Daisy is found then the latest owner will be notified when she is scanned. Has she been interviewed by police since confirmation of DNA? They need to find out who dog is registered with and the lady changes the details to real owner. MPB have made a desperate boo boo here and one would hope doing everything to make amends - for free!! LOST: Daisy is a West Highland Terrier, she is six years old white with a pointed nose, she is slightly bow legged on her front legs. She is very friendly and will go to anyone. She went missing from Manchester 23 on august 25th. She was found by a lady, just one hundred yards from daisy,s own house. The lady reported finding her to the missing pets bureau. they said they had a lady on file who had who had reported her dog missing from kieghly yorkshire. They gave the lady who found daisy her number, she rang and the lady from yorkshire came down and said daisy was her dog and took her. I managed to get the ladies address from yorkshire, I went down she was not in so i looked through the window and there was daisy. I went to the police reported the matter then went back to the house. The lady was now in so i asked if i could see the dog, she agreed she called the name penny and daisy ran to me, i said to my mother who had come with me that it was daisy. the lady snatched her off me. I got in touch with the missing pet bureau and said that i wanted a dna test as i had bred daisy myself and had her mother at home they agreed. They choose an independant vet in the middle of manchester and yorkshire, we both attended, the vet took salva samples and they where sent to the kennel club then to Germany. To cut a long story short the results came back positive the dog was mine. But a week before i got the results back the lady from yorkshire rang us to say she had gone missing. I,ve been down a few times but with no luck. We have been told that daisy has been mico chipped, by the lady in yorkshire and she calls her penny. I think she is wearing a blue/green canvas collar with a tag on it. my whole family is devastated with the whole situation. . Mrs Sue Lucas 0161-283-0811 or 01619453431 mobile 07856605377 - message from owner. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
