Archie, we are still searching for you and Tessie, and won't turn off the heat until you are reunited with your family. A copy of your poster is now in a plastic folder at my local vets surgery on a table for clients to peruse, (TA8 Somerset). People do travel and hopefully anything that we can do to bring you both home has to be worh a try. Hang on in there, it's your time for the blue zone, we are having a good success rate in the South West so please show yourself. You will be home soon, we don't give up. You are totally right - it is always worth that phone call or email to check out any leads as they must be out there some where, there does seem to be a bit of a 'bermuda triangle' for lost dogs in the south west I suppose that as there is loads of farm land and costal tracks and not much housing they can disappear quite quickly and getting sightings must be much harder than in heavily populated areas - will ad your 2 to my watch list Sandie xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

That is awful about the posters possibly being ripped off! Drives you crazy doesnt it!!!! It is so hard to believe that people really have nothing better to do. It has happened with Blaze posters too...but it also makes me worry that we havent pinned them well enough and they've blown away..in amongst all this sadness with missing our dogs we dont want to worry about added strains do we! I really do hope you have some positive news soon. We still have your posters up in White Lodge Vets in Minehead and hopefully i'll find out i can take them down soon for you and replace them with "FOUND"!!! Take care at this tough time. Pirate dog, I'm sorry there's no news. I'll review what's been done as soon as I can and see if there's anything else I can think of. I certainly think the posters should be changed to say 'still missing' as people can often think dogs have been found if they are no reminded.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi piratedog, I live just round the corner from you - we've met a couple of times when you were walking the dogs - my hubby works at Hinkley Point, so I've just printed a poster for him to take into work and put on the notice board. I look for the dogs wherever I go and mention it to EVERYONE. Have you put a poster in the newsagent in Williton? Also, I think Tesco in Minehead have a noticeboard. Anything's worth a try. My 2 lurchers have a best freind who is a Border terrier, they are gorgeous little dogs, fun and funny. Archies family must be missing him dreadfully. Top marks for having him chipped, if he turns up as a stray anywhere, he will be scanned and you will get the phone call you are praying for.
