Hello Billybob. We still think of Yogi and have the toys we bought for him. Not for Molly use though. Molly fine and still hope she can be of help when out by going up to another dog. That would be an in road to us getting close to him. You take care also
billybob
Hi Elaine, I still think of you and I still look out for your Yogi all the time. I am sure he is safe with someone at the moment. I hope Molly is still with you and bringing you comfort. Take care.
Elaine
Thanks for thinking of Yogi but sadly it is not him. We keep hoping

12 months ago we got this poor little boy who had been kept in a cages most of his life. We booked a holiday in Wales so he could play on the beach and go in the sea this summer. We got him a lovely bed, nice food and toys. What a lovely special time we had.
Elaine
Thank you for your kind words. We also hope he is being spoilt rotten, as he is one little dog who deserves it.
Hollieberry
I hope one day you will get the news that you are waiting for untill then I hope someone is taking good care of your little fella.x
Elaine
Billybob, how heart warming is your message to us. We had hoped that sometime during the summer we would come across him. Now winter is on it's way I have to admit my hopes are fading of finding him. So if anyone knows where he might be and is happy then give him our love and tell him all we ever wanted for him was to be free of a cage and learn that not all people treat animals in such a bad way.
billybob
I will always keep looking Elaine. Never give up hope. x
Elaine
If you read my messages then please keep looking. Thank you
Elaine
we keep looking and hoping to find him.
Elaine
No news of Yogi and we don't know where to look next. Starting to run out of hope. If you know anything please let us.
Elaine
How very kind of you to keep thinking of Yogi. The hope still goes on. I saw a couple looking in bushes yesterday and they had a bottle of water with them. I am assuming they were helping some poor animal. Straight away I thought of Yogi, but driving you can't stop the car when others are behind you. So thank you to yourself and thanks to the couple for taking time out to help an animal on the hottest day of the year.
billybob
I am sure he will come home and until then we just keep looking. Still have his photo and your number on my phone in case I see him with someone, and still looking out for him.
Elaine
Just to say still missing you
Elaine
We keep hoping he will come home
Elaine
Were not forgetting you Yogi, just waiting to be reunited.
Elaine
Thank you. We are seeing more dogs being walked due to the change in the weather. Believe me there have been a few times we have either walked Molly closer to the walker or turned the car around and upset the satnav. Still it is worth it.
billybob
Me too. One day it will happen and you'll have him back.
Elaine
Still looking for our boy.
Elaine
Thanks Billybob. We have had a family issue for the last four weeks so we have not been as vigilant as we should be. Pete's mum recovering now so we should be back looking again shortly. It is surprising that people still stop us and ask after Yogi and like yourself Billybob keep looking. We are so heartened by this. Molly has just had a phantom pregnancy so we should be able to get her spayed soon. Thanks for asking.
billybob
Hi Elaine, Will keep looking for Yogi and checking here for any updates. I hope you are getting lots of comfort from Molly until Yogi returns home.
Elaine
Still looking for the little fella. Please keep an eye out for him on your walks. Thanks,Elaine
Elaine
Yesterday I went to renew my lost dog notice of Yogi in Jolleyes Pet shop and I was told there would be no charge for the notice. Thank You Jolleyes Runcorn for your support.
Elaine
Hello Julie, We have been informed by Dawn at "Find Harvey" about the dog found by the police in Ellesmere Port. This time it was not our turn to be reunited with Yogi. So we with the help of others it helps keep the hope going on being reunited one day.
Julie34668
So sorry that Yogi is still missing. Did he have a collar on, only a JRT has been found in Ellesmere Port with a brown collar.
Elaine
Hi Ros, Thank you for that info. Will definitely look into that. Miserable winter so looking for Yogi has been hit and miss. We are now walking through the streets as we feel the woodland is not where he would be now. Regards Elaine

long shot, but may be worth following up. the rescue states the dog was chipped but details out of date: https://www.facebook.com/moorlandsdogrescue/photos/a.233970750121886.1073741829.219108268274801/313339912184969/?type=1&theater
Elaine
We have been reading about a dog being reunited with it's owner after eight years. How happy a reunion that must of been. As they say "never say never" and we are happy to agree with that about Yogi.
billybob
That's a shame. Thank you for the update.
Elaine
Thanks Dawn for getting in touch. As you know I did contact the dog warden but the microchip was for another area. How excited we got at the thought that it could of been Yogi. Thank you and all like minded people who help Pete and myself keep positive. x
billybob
Hi Elaine, was this little JRT, info kindly found by Dawn, not Yogi? I was hoping... x
K9 Dawn
could this be Yogi x

Thank you Billybob. Have a good Christmas. When the festivities are over and the days stretch to a little lighter, we hope to have more luck with our search.
billybob
Never giving up the search x
Elaine
It's Christmas Eve and there is no news about Yogi. On Sunday I went to the RSPCA Halewood with some things for the dogs who might be spending Christmas there from Yogi and ourselves. It was a open day to raise funds. We hope it was a very successful day.
Elaine
Hi Billybob and Julie. What would we do without your invisible shoulders to lean on, thank you. I have been to Brookvale shop today and Yogi's picture and details are still being shown. He is still advertising himself in Jolleys pet shop and other places around. So thank you to all those shop owners who in their way support us also. With Christmas a week away we are hoping he will somehow come home. We are here and waiting for him. I get so angry at the people who kept him and others in cages and little human contact.
Julie34668
Shared again on Facebook. Like Billybob says, someone, possibly an elderly person who doesn't know the current laws, may have taken him in. lots of people are still looking out for him, so hopefully there'll be good news soon.
billybob
Hi Elaine, I've been thinking exactly the same over the past few days. Someone could have taken him in who is not used to the lost dogs, wardens etc route of reporting a lost dog and will be looking after him. I will be holding that view until anyone says anything different. However I will also continue to keep an eye out for him whilst we are out. I might spot him walking with someone! I feel I know him I've looked at his photo for detail so much. Thinking of you x
Elaine
It has been a while since we have had any news about Yogi. So we can only hope that someone has given him a home. We are still taking the routes we know he has been on, with Molly, but as they have no scent of one another this does not lead us anywhere. The good news remains that we have not had any call to say he has been found in sad circumstances.
Elaine
Hi Billybob, Your steadfastnest is so comforting . It is people like yourself who help keep the hope going on, thank you. On another note the frost and fog of the last few days make us feel low as we are sure it does other pet owners who's pets are missing. I was talking to the partner of a man whose baby is due in a few days and she told me that when walking her dogs they still keep an eye open for Yogi. Likewise late last night I spoke to Linda while she was walking Zak and said they still keep hoping to come across Yogi on their walks. So my new circle of friends are so dear to me. We my never meet some of you but your giving out of support will keep us together. Likewise I hope this is felt by other pet owners out there.
billybob
We all keep that hope alive for you Elaine, and until we hear anything to the contrary we will believe he is somewhere out there. We will keep on looking out for Yogi x
Elaine
What had seemed like the end of the road in our search changed in a single phone call on Monday. The caller told us he thought he had seen Yogi two days earlier in Palacefields. I was so pleased that the notices are registering in sightings of Yogi. I thanked the two shops in Brookvale that have kept his poster up. Pete went and had a look last night but no luck. Today I have had a call from Karen at the RSPCA Halewood to see how things were going. Karen told me that Halton BC have a cleansing department and they deal with animals killed in RTA's. That lead me on to Andale vets in Widnes who deal with these cases for Halton. I have to admit I was very nervous ringing incase I got the news I did not want to hear. Well as you can imagine I was delighted when I was told that there had been no life extinct dogs brought in for several weeks from Runcorn. Yogi's details were taken, just incase. Yes, Yes, Yes, the hope goes on. Thank you Karen for giving us hope.
Elaine
It has been a week since we got a call with a sighting of Yogi and it is disheartening to go so long with anything certain. We keep going on the same routes that Yogi has been seen on. We would also like to thank Linda, Tony and the fabulous Zak who like the rest of you have given up so much of their own time to help us in our searches. Thank you
Elaine
Thanks. Yesterday saw us receiving two calls saying that Yogi was located. One in Littlebourne Park which turned out to be a neighbour's dog. The other in Sutton Park which a lady thought was Yogi at another neighbour's house. The fact that both identifications were wrong was immaterial. What is more to the point is that people are aware of the posters. How do you say thank you to so many people. So if there are other people reading this apart from our followers don't give up hope there is support you would never imagine.
billybob
Hi Elaine, thank you for sharing all the updates on Yogi's search. I believe Molly will help you bring Yogi home too. We will be out there again today, as we are every day, as we're not giving up. x
Elaine
First let me say thank you again for all your efforts in helping bring Yogi home. It has been a hectic few days. We decided to foster another dog at the weekend and now have Molly. She is lovely and we know already we will adopt her. Her prime duty is to try and get Yogi closer to us if he continues to be wary of people. A great support came from the RSPCA Halewood on Sunday. Two ladies from there came with Simba (a little dog that was kept in the same conditions as Yogi)to see if he was around if he recognized her scent. They also said that as he had been in kennels a while he might also recognize their uniforms. After a thorough search we were left with the same outcome. One thing that might help was an idea one of the ladies had was to rub a towel we carry with us over Simba and again hope this draws him out. We are hoping that the change in the weather might draw him closer to people for food. I went to ASDA today and the lady on the check out was telling me she had heard about Yogi from her daughter, my he is so famous it is going to be hard work shrinking his ego when he gets back. So Biilybob, Julie, and Diane all I can say is watch this space for a quick and happy conclusion to this tale. Diane I will try Facebook but I am not sure how to go about finding things.Just a big thank you for taking the time out to help.
diane111
hi just to let you know we are having yogie as our dog of the week on facebook group find harvey, we will share his pic all over social media, good luck x
Julie34668
My daughter lives around this area, we will go out and about and look out for him. Fingers crossed for you.
billybob
He is a survivor and a pretty amazing dog Elaine. I have not given up looking and will focus more around the area he has been seen in today. Stay strong, we're thinking of you x
Elaine
Today Yogi was sighted in Murdishaw Woods (the Valley) of course as usual by the time we arrived Yogi had moved on. The RSPCA have offered to help look for Yogi tomorrow. At least that is my understanding. Hopefully they can give us some tips to help bring Yogi home. Over the past 24 hours he has been seen around Murdishaw chemist and that area. We have tried various routes in the same area. Sadly for us we have to rely on sightings as we have none ourselves. The wider community is so supportive and if you ever have a missing pet let us reassure that you will receive support from people you might meet or speak to once but boy does it help you to keep going with your search. Can I also add that local radio is helpful. Radio Halton rang to let me know they had received my email about Yogi and had put out an announcement about him being lost. Your community is far bigger than you think.
Elaine
Yesterday we had several calls to let us know this elusive boy is back in the area. At lunch time he was around The Hove and last night was making his way back to this area via the local shop and chemist in Murdishaw. Later he was seen around the Plymouth Close area. He really is wary of people. One thing though he is a survivor, but for how much longer. The search continues.
Elaine
Again thank you for your positive approach, it all helps. If Yogi returns the joy will be felt and heard everywhere.
billybob
Please don't give up. His ability to want to survive and find food and water will keep him going. As it is hard for you to be fully mobile, especially in woods and fields, I will continue to look in the area as well, especially taking my dog on the park, fields and woods. He must feel safe staying in this area to be spotted on 16th. I won't give up neither.xLast edited: 2014-11-17 21:54:30 by billybob
Elaine
Thanks Billybob. Today I have been around Brookvale and handed out pics to passerby's and the local school, who will distribute them during registration. Dog Warden will help after the dog has been cornered. Some help that is. It is so disheartening going to an area we do not know. I suppose we have to start thinking soon that we might never find him but we can't give up yet. Your help would be greatly appreciated. I am not the best or quickest of walkers and my stick is my support. So I'll leave the decision to you. Thanks
billybob
Elaine, if you need me to search with you pls let me know. In the meantime I will keep on looking and have his pic on my phone to show other dog walkers and your mobile number as left on this page in case I see him. x
Elaine
Misswoo and Billybob Thank you so, so much for kind thoughts and support. This is needed more than ever now. Trying to get in touch with the council to find out why the Dog Warden service has not helped...........
billybob
Will keep looking out for him, have seen posters. I live in Norton area and walk my dog around the whole area and will watch out for him.x
Misswoo
God bless him nearly there xx wish I was nearer to help
Elaine
Tonight Yogi has been seen around Murdishaw Woods and Halton Haven 16/11. Very dirty and tired. Can you help us please
Elaine
Archie is responding to the kennel name he was given. So if you see him the call him YOGI please.
Elaine
He is in and around Marina Village. Will play with other dogs but people cannot get close. Nearly there. Elaine
Red Alert
Do not give up hope. Dogs have an ability to find food & water, so he will be ok.
AlisonH
Bumped due to recent sightings.
Elaine
We would like to say a big thank you to everyone for their support. We have heard of a JRT in a RTA. thankfully it was not Archie. Then at lunchtime I heard of three sightings of him local to our home. I have not had any luck finding and time is running out if he is living rough, I am sorry to say. x
