Ive looked at the page the dog on DP is not Goku.....there are marking on the DP dog that do not match with Goku. Thanks and keep looking.

Have you checked Battersea? There are quite a few Akitas there and definitely a dog that had been there for little while.

It is about 15 miles. Just called Kings Heath Police Station. They have not had an Akita handed in. Please let me if you have more details. Thanks.

Thanks Heather. We are now looking at the Pypes Hayes Park area in Sutton Coldfield where a dog walker has reported seeing someone with a dog looking like Goku. We have now put posters around there and see if anyone would have spotted him.

been into the pound this morning and sadly its not this dog! Even the staff said the likeness is un canny! but sadlt the male in pound hasn't been neutered! like i said apart form that their identical!!

The owners said they had spoken to the council who said he is a cross, but as I said they have wrongly listed before, I think he looks like an akite, has the same colouring too. Hope the owners get in touch with the shelter, maybe they don't know about the 7 day policy? We have had a GSD puppy stolen from down South turn up in rescue up here so I would not be surprised!

Have you given Goku's details to the Dogs Trust in Honiley, Kenilworth, a bit further afield, but worth checking as people do hand in dogs that they find there. Also worth contacting the Metro, a free newspaper available at train stations in Birmingham and Coventry and on local buses. It's widely read so might help. There is an RSPCA in Coventry to, dogs have been known to turn up quite some way from home, so maybe worth contacting. Have you contacted your local dog obedience clubs in case someone tries to take him to classes? Also check www.epupz.co.uk, at lists adult dogs and pups for sale with and without KC papers. As does www.findit.co.uk. Also worth contacting Coventry dog warden, very helpful and giving them his details. Good luck, hope he's home soonxxxx

The one in the shelter has darker on his back, their number is 0151 486 1706, I would speak to them. The council have previously put a dog on there as a different breed so I would speak to the shelter!

He does not look awfully like Goku but according to the council vet the one found is a cross breed . Goku is white with a brownish tilt on the back. They do like similar.

He's described on the council website as a malamute husky but I am sure he is an akita

does Goku have any darker markings on his back or is he all white all over! is a male youngish akita in local pound all white but on back by his tail is slightly darker white with tint of grey....onyl a bit tho!!!!

There are several places to try, Birmingham Dogs Home 0121 643 5211, RSPCA Shelter 0121 427 6111, RSPCA Hospital 0121 426 6777, Sunnyside Kennels 01902 790618 and Rosedene Kennels 01922 627013. I would suggest that you visit these places rather than relying on a phone call to check.

I hope Goku is home soon we are recently reunited with Ely our labrador who was returned by someone just doors away after a highly publicised reward. I would advice you to make the reward as public as you can!!

Thanks for all the support. We have now put posters in the area and informed the police and dog wardens in lichfield, walsall and birmingham. I spoken to the family whose garden is directly behind us where Goku went to play now and again. They were also away during the week but they have been having workmans in the house for the past few weeks and when away. I spoke to the workman today and he said he last saw Goku on Saturday morning the 22nd and did close their front gates. I still could not figure out how Goku left the gardens as both are well fenced. I hope he will get home soon.
