- I know my sister has already sent a message letting everyone know Dylan is home but I also wanted to send a message, once again with so much gratitude for everyone's care and support for reuniting us with Dylan. He is such a huge part of our family life and when we lost him we were devastated. It meant so much to all of us to receive information and messages of support and kept us strong. Kevinktwo, you were a godsend, you spent most of your day out in the crags just watching for Dylan and we are eternally grateful for you being there. Acarr thank you for introducing me to such an important and inspiring website and for all your support, ideas of how to find him and also for the loan of your family motorhome until Dylan returned. A true friend x

- lay a trail for this dog some clothing of yours they will usually try to make their way back to the scent, and leave something for him to sniff and snuggle. mine got off the lead rein once and bolted, 3 hours later he was at my door. fingers x'd for you

- Hi, I was the dog walker a short way ahead of you when you set off (black & Tan Tibetan Mastiff) I think this is before Dylan ran off, but in case it helps: he had a quick hello with my dog, then rang back down the track and went left where the grass was trodden down (not sure if it is an actual track) we just did the short loop around the car park, he didn't follow us. As we got back we could hear shouts which I guess were you calling him, and there were a few deep-ish hoarse barks from our left up the hill different direction to the shouts-I paused, but remember thinking they didn't sound quite deep enough for a bloodhound. Unusually for her my dog planted herself shortly after that and seemed to want to go back. I wish I had realised your dog had run off-would have stayed around to help look. Hope he turns up- I have shared your FB post from the vets with the Rothbury past and present group (lots of folk local to Rothbury in that). If you have not already I would suggest contacting the forestry people- you can get all the way through to Harwood area on those forest tracks, so if they know there is a lost dog they may keep an eye out. If you are postering maybe ask the the pub, The Gate at Forestburn gate to put one up if you haven't already-would reach local farmers. Best wishes.

- Angela kindly added Dylan on this site while we were out searching for him. Dylan is microchipped and has had a root filling on his right maxillary canine. He is a large dog but very friendly. Thank you to everyone for their concern and we are praying he will be home with us soon.

- Added for owners Sheilah and Paul Needham as they are out searching for Dylan, his hound traits got the better of him and he went running off, it is thought he may have run himself all out and could possibly have gone to ground to rest. Hopefully once rested he may try to make his way home. Could anyone in the national park tomorrow keep their eyes peeled in case he has been hurt and is lying somewhere . Many thanks
