Apparently this dog was also seen at approx 1pm yesterday lunch time near the lakes near waitrose area (King Harry Lane) so this poor little dog has been out on its own for quite sometime by the sounds of things.

Although this dog needs to be caught when approached he/she bolts, this has happened twice when I approached him/her each time it ran into the church area, also other people have also tried to help and the same thing has happened the dog bolts. This dog was seen by myself where it was sat on the pavement when approached it bolted then again I saw him/her at the gates to the church car park just sitting there but once again as soon as it see's anyone it bolts

Colour of this dog is Black and white it had a longish face which was more white with a black patch on it's head, (although this was late at night) It also had a bigger black splodge on rear rump area, I last saw her/him approx 1am this morning climbing into the bushes/hedge over growth on st.stephens hill st.albans it also appeared to be struggling as in like limping.
There is also a lead attached to this dog, I did ring what I thought was St.albans dog Warden and got put through to the Local council who informed me there has been no dog warden for this area for approx 4 yrs and I was advised to ring the Police on the 101 number which I have and they have informed me there is no report of a missing or lost dog in this area, and that they were not aware of this dog, yet the police did help me look round the graveyard last night!

Police were flagged down and tried to look so are aware. The dog warden out of hours no only gives option for lost dog or one to be collected ie you have caught the dog already ! so warden will need to be called again when open
